Lawsuits

David and Rebecca Volentine filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 7 against Dana Goth, seeking possession of property in Staunton and $1,950 rent, plus costs and damages.

Discover Bank filed a complaint Aug. 10 against Dean S. Mix, seeking $26,776.11 unpaid on a credit account, plus court costs and post-judgment interest.

Roger and Darla Ashley filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 13 against Nancy Snow, seeking possession of property in Staunton and $875 rent, plus damages.

Lynn Bruemmer filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 13 against Jordan Conlee and Mariah Ashbaugh, seeking possession of property in Wilsonville and $3,016.80 rent.

SLUCARE filed a complaint Aug. 13 against John R. Bone, seeking $12,163 unpaid for medical services, plus costs of the suit.

Felonies

Ray LaFountain Jr., 20, Staunton has been charged with aggravated domestic battery in connection with an Aug. 4 incident in which he allegedly strangled an individual.

Debra L. Hayes, 44, Girard, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with an Aug. 6 incident in which he allegedly shouted and lunged toward a peace officer.

Brandon W. Wilson, 20, Staunton, has been charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with an Aug. 8 incident in which he allegedly possessed a 1994 GMC Sonoma truck, knowing it to have been stolen. He was also charged with driving while license suspended, failure to signal when required and two counts of disobeying a stop sign.

Tyler J. Cains, now 25, Fairview Heights, has been charged with sexual contact with an animal in connection with a Dec. 1, 2017, incident in which he allegedly participated and allowed a canine to anally penetrate him.

Misdemeanors

Kevin W. Chism, 49, Chesterfield, has been charged with two counts of battery in connection with a July 22 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the shoulder with his elbow and pushed another individual.

Joseph A. Reece, 64, Shipman, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with an Aug. 2 incident in which he allegedly went to a protected address.

Robert J. Bell, 29, Carlinville, has been charged with criminal damage to property in connection with an Aug. 6 incident in which he allegedly knowingly caused less than $300 damage to a door in the 1000 block of Sumner Street, Carlinville.

Stephanie L. Seidelman, 44, Virden, has been charged with seven counts of deceptive practices in connection with June 23-25 incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks for $64.34, $59.30, $65, $130.10, $84.35, $68.78 and $74.89 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing her bank would not honor the drafts.

Tiffany M. Middleton, 25, Carlinville, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a June 25 incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $20 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Lexie E. Boston, 24, Carlinville, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a May 15 incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $100 to Hollywood and Vine, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Chon L. Walsh, now 42, Bunker Hill, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with an Aug. 10 incident in which he allegedly punched an individual in the back of the head with a closed fist and grabbed the individual by the wrist, causing bruising.
