BC Choir, Voices, perform Spring Concert
Less than a full week into the new season, Blackburn College Choir and Blackburn Voices performed its spring concert March 22 at the Bothwell Auditorium.
Titled “Hymns For Your Spirit, Songs For Your Soul,” the 35-plus member choir sang 14 selections.
The pieces included “Praise His Holy Name,” “Deep River,” “When The Saints Go Marching In,” “Pray Of The Children,” “O’ Brother Where Art Thou?” “There Is Nothing Like A Dame,” “Blue Skies,” “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,” “Over The Rainbow,” “You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To,” “Someone To Watch Over Me,” “I Got Rhythm,” “Rodgers and Hammerstein On Broadway” and “Puttin’ On The Ritz.”
The choir includes sopranos Hannah Hosick, Paula Lapp, Chris Powell, Debbie Rule, Jordyn Smith, Tavi Wallace, Heather Weiss and Amy Wills; altos Ronnie Anderson, Ariana Barker, Qiana Bates, Lydia Collins, Donna Eiffert, Sue Kaiser, Jane Scott and Gretchen Taylor; tenors Dustin Anderson, Sawyer Burton, Dave Jokisch, Mark Kaiser, Brendan Lersch, Caleb Long, Sam Meredith, Barb Oakes and Randy Scott; and bass/baritones Patrick Benedict, Mike Carrillo, Brandon Ellis, Patterson Friese, Roy Graham, Bill Hoff, Owen Meredith, Dan Reid, Jacob Smetters, Vincent Watson and Ethan Weber.
Burton, Benedict, Friese, Meredith and Watson are members of the Blackburn Voices.
