Volleyball co-players of the week

CARLINVILLE (Nov. 2, 2017) – Jordyn Houseman, daughter of Heather Heater and Dustin Houseman, has been selected as Player of the Week for Glenn Insurance for the Carrollton and Pawnee Tournament.

Jordyn is a junior defensive specialist for the Lady Cavaliers. She made this move this season from a setter to a defensive player due to her digging skills. At the Pawnee tournament it was hard to get a ball past her on the back line. She played outstanding defense for the Cavies all day long. The speed of her footwork and her ability to read the hitters was outstanding.

Congratulations from Andy Glenn of Glenn Insurance, your teammates, and coaches on your selection.

Stats for the week: 12 service points, one  kill and 36 digs

Player of the Week

Sarah DeNeve, daughter of Darrin and Heather DeNeve, has been selected as Player of the Week for Glenn Insurance for the Carrollton and Pawnee Tournament.

Sarah is a sophomore defensive specialist for the Cavies. This is her first year as a varsity starter. Her role last year was as a setter and this season her role is playing right-side defense. As the season has progressed she has become stronger on the varsity level. At the tournament, teams were attacking with their outside hitters down the line and Sarah dug beautifully, saving the team many points. Expectations for her in post season are strong.

Congratulations from Andy Glenn of Glenn Insurance, your teammates, and coaches on your selection.

Stats for the week: 15 service points and one ace, two  kills, and 54 digs.
