Tractor driving contest held at fairgrounds

Macoupin County 4-H members had an opportunity to display their tractor-driving skills at the 4-H Tractor Operator’s Contest, held June 5 at the Macoupin County Fairgrounds.
The contest included a written knowledge test about tractor safety and maintenance, a parts identification test and a drive course. Veryl Reiher served as judge and Kody Brown as show superintendent.
Those receiving 4-H blue ribbons were Dylan Rosentreter of Carlinville, Sam Wolff of Brighton, Jerod Brown of Gillespie, Anthony Joiner of Carlinville, Benjamin Reno of Medora, Zachary Paul of Alhambra and Grant Walker of Carlinville.
The contest includes junior (ages 10-13) and senior (ages 14 and older) divisions. Wolff received the Top Junior Operator trophy, while Paul received the Top Senior Operator trophy.
