Stayton wins at junior high cross country meet

The Carlinville Middle School Warriors competed at the Turner Junior High Invitational cross country meet Saturday in Jacksonville.

Jillian Stayton would win the seventh grade portion of the girls meet, finishing in 12:27.63 for the Warriors.

Sophia Ruffatto would place eighth overall at 13:12; and Braylee Gilmore was 13th at 13:19. Annabelle Hulin finished 15th at 13:23 and Julianna Schmidt was 22nd at 13:38. Caroline Gibbel placed 28th at 14:00; Acacia Dyer 39th at 14:28; Melanie Murphy 51st at 14:51; Maddie Lowrance 55th at 14:56; Hayley Hancock 16:58; Paige Parmenter 19:06; Kendall Rice 19:37.

In seventh grade boys action, Collin Kreipe of Carlinville was eighth overall at 12:00; Levi Yudinsky 14th at 12:09; David Harris 25th at 12:32; Ethen Siglock 26th at 12:32; Henry Kufa 45th at 13:30; Damon Sharp 56th at 13:39; Charlie Wilson 14:11; Case Jones 14:40; Brock Henson 15:41; William Hoesing 17:08; Carter Lowrance 17:20; Mark Uettry 18:22.

In the eighth grade girls race, Addie Yudinsky was 23rd at 14:28; and Samantha Eulberg 36th at 16:53.

Eighth grade boys action had CMS’ Collin Leonard seventh at 11:42; Cameron Strubbe 19th at 12:30; Max Wilson 33rd at 14:03; and Joe Alepra 44th at 16:23.
