St. Francis Hospital to host anniversary gala
St. Francis Hospital will celebrate the 140th anniversary of the Hospital Sisters in Litchfield with a special gala on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Litchfield Community Center. The theme for the gala, which is sponsored by the St. Francis Foundation, is “Celebrating Our Legacy.” Gold sponsors for the event are Litchfield Family Practice Center and St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary.
Funds raised that evening during a donation challenge will benefit the renovation of the third floor patient areas. “We are so grateful to our Hospital Sisters for coming to Litchfield and establishing our hospital,” said Patti Fischer, hospital president/CEO. “Their tireless efforts over the years have provided our community with quality healthcare and a mission for serving all those who come to us in need.”
Jane Martin, chairperson of the St. Francis Foundation, said, “We invite all supporters of the hospital to join us for this elegant celebration and to raise funds for renovation of our patient areas.” Martin noted that sponsorship opportunities are available in addition to the opportunity to honor or memorialize individuals in the event program.
Hors d’oeuvres will begin at 5:30 p.m., and a sit-down dinner, catered by Nelson’s Catering of Springfield, will follow at 6:30 p.m. Following a donation challenge, Griffin and the Gargoyles of St. Louis will perform.
The cost to attend is $75 per person. Reservations are due by Friday, Oct. 23. To make a reservation, or for more information about sponsorship opportunities, contact Paula Endress, director of philanthropy, at (217) 324-8200.
