Sandfort recognized by Forbes
CARLINVILLE (April 5, 2018) – Carlinville native James D. Sandfort, CFA, CFP, senior vice president and Merrill Lynch wealth investment advisor, was recently named to the Forbes 2018 “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” list.
Sandfort received his bachelor’s in accountancy from the University of Illinois and a master’s of business administration in finance and economics from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is a trustee for Blackburn College and director of the Northwestern University Alumni Association. In addition, he serves as an advisory board member for the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dallas. He has been with Merrill Lynch for 10 years.
Sandfort, a 1983 graduate of Carlinville High School, is the son of Sharon and the late Gary Sandfort. He and his wife now reside in Coppell, Texas, (a suburb of Dallas), and have two grown children who reside in Colorado.
