Rotary names CMS students of the quarter
The Carlinville Rotary has announced that the middle school students of the quarter, chosen by their teachers for the second quarter of the 2018-19 school year, are Braley Wiser, sixth grade; Zachary Chapman, seventh grade; and Alexander Scott, eighth grade.
Wiser is the daughter of Shawn and Trish Wiser. According to her teachers, “Braley is an exemplary student and takes on many leadership roles in the classroom. She is able to share her own ideas and opinions, while still respecting the thoughts and opinions of her teachers and classmates. Braley is always positive, encouraging, supportive and helpful when working in partners, groups or in whole class discussions. But most importantly, she spreads kindness throughout our school. Braley is the epitome of a role model and is truly a delight to have in class.”
Chapman is the son of Tim and Beth Chapman. “Zach is very polite, friendly and helpful in his encounters with students, teachers and staff,” said his teachers. “Teachers can depend on Zach to follow directions, follow school and classroom rules, and to set a positive example for other students to follow. While balancing student council responsibilities and extracurricular sports and activities, Zach does excellent school work and maintains outstanding grades.”
Scott is the son of Robert and Amber Scott. “Alex is a fun and friendly student who has shown the highest levels of integrity in everything he does,” said his teachers. “His acceptance and tolerance for those around him is commendable. Alex’s upbeat personality is also among many of his great attributes. Every day, he makes Carlinville Middle School a better place. We look forward to seeing the accomplishments Alex will achieve in high school and beyond.”
