Rotary District 6460 has announced that two types of academic scholarships are available for 2017-18.

The Domestic $3,000 scholarship requires the completion of 24 hours of college credit prior to the application. The $18,000 Menghini International Scholarship is also available for a student who has been accepted to an international university; it is not for a study abroad program through a local college or university.

The scholarships may not begin before September 2018 but must begin before September 2019.

Seven $3,000 scholarships were awarded for the 2016-17 academic year. Recipients were Madison Boente (St. Louis University), Megan Coile (Illinois Central College), Lauren Daniels (Missouri State University), Emily Formea (Bradley University), Cheri Michelich (Illinois College), Nicholas Roth (Illinois College) and Hannah Turk (Illinois College). In addition, Emiliano Vera is currently using a Menghini Scholarship to further his post-graduate studies at the University of Americas Puebla in Mexico.
