Robert “Bob” Bosworth

Robert “Bob” Bosworth, 59, of Wood River, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at 11:55 p.m., at his residence. He was born Nov. 12, 1953, in Carrollton to Robert and Frances Miller Bosworth. He married Terena Chapman Pilger, of Wood River, Feb. 14, 1992, in Carlinville.

was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob was a meat cutter since age 15, working at his parent’s grocery store until a fire. He then worked at the Shipman Locker for over 25 years until its closure. He worked at the Godfrey Meat Market and was working at Save-A-Lot until illness forced his retirement.

Surviving are his wife, Terena; two daughters, Amanda Pilger, of Delhi and Brittany Chapman of East Alton; one son, Patrick Pilger, of Wood River; two grandchildren, Jasmine Lawson and Aiden Lawson, both of East Alton; and one brother, Jon Bosworth, of Columbus, Ohio.

Visitation was Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, from 4-8 p.m., at Targhetta and Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m., also at Targhetta and Wooldridge Funeral  Home with the Rev. Ray Robinson officiating.

Burial will be at Shipman Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice.
