Macoupin County Public Health Department will hold two back-to-school health fairs in the coming months. The first will be held Tuesday, July 11, at Maple Street Clinic in Gillespie; the second will be at MCPHD’s Carlinville office, located at 805 North Broad Street. Both fairs will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fairs will feature school and/or sport physicals, immunizations and dental exams. Each participating student will receive a back-to-school gift bag. Participants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and to receive immunizations, the child must have their past immunization record. Medicaid participants are to bring their Medicaid card.

The cost for a school or sport physical is $25, with additional fees charged for some laboratory testing and immunizations. The cost of a urinalysis is included in the fee. If a child requires both a sport physical and a school physical, the charge will be $30. Dental exams will be $10.

Appointments are requested. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (217) 854-7272.
