MCPHD to hold drive-through flu vaccination clinic
CARLINVILLE (Sept. 7, 2017) – Macoupin County Public Health Department will hold a drive-through flu vaccination clinic from 2-6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Macoupin County Fairgrounds to help local agencies test their emergency disaster plan.
Participants will report to the fairgrounds and complete required paperwork. The paperwork will be checked for all signatures, and participants will be asked to either show their Medicare, Medicaid or Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance card, or make a $30 payment. They will then proceed to the final station to receive a flu vaccine.
For this clinic only, participants will remain in their cars at all times. As a result, participants are asked to wear short-sleeve clothing. Groups of more than two people should arrive in a four-door car.
Transportation will be provided by Macoupin County Public Transportation for those who cannot transport themselves to the fairgrounds. To arrange a ride, call (877) 600-0707.
Only flu vaccines will be given. Additional clinics will be announced to offer flu vaccines for children and adults, as well as pneumonia vaccines. For more information, call MCPHD at (217) 854-3223, ext. 227.
