Madison Communications employees earn certification
Madison Communications announced that two technical employees have been certified recently by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.
Bobby Wicke, a broadband distribution Specialist, and Grant Texier, a broadband premises installer earned the SCTE certification.
These employees earned their prominent SCTE designations by passing comprehensive examinations, which have been designed specifically to test for knowledge and to prove they have advanced competency in their areas of expertise.
These certifications, awarded exclusively by SCTE, enable broadband engineers and operations professionals to bring increased levels of proficiency to their day-to-day tasks, allowing them to provide high-quality service to customers.
These certification achievements demonstrate an individual’s personal commitment to improving expertise and advancing their professionalism.
“Advanced training for our employees is an essential part of our commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers,” said Len Schwartz, vice president for Madison Communications. “We congratulate Bobby and Grant for their dedication to the continual improvement of their technical skills and knowledge.”
SCTE certification is the cable industry’s premier endorsement for professionals. SCTE certifications are formed from a proven foundation of knowledge and based on in-depth testing and ongoing professional development maintenance through continuing technical education requirements. SCTE certifies cable professionals in various levels of expertise and across all segments of the cable network.
“Cable’s engineering and operations professionals are on the front lines ensuring that customers receive the high levels of service they expect,” said Pam Nobles, director, education and certification for SCTE. “SCTE certification elevates the technical expertise of the cable industry and signifies that an individual has a proven mastery of the knowledge needed to improve the customer experience.”
SCTE offers three certifications that recognize progressive stages of expertise within the home or business: broadband premises installer, broadband premises technician and broadband premises expert.
In addition, SCTE provides certification for expertise within various areas of the cable network and facilities. These are: broadband distribution specialist; broadband transport specialist; broadband telecomcenter specialist; digital video engineering professional; and internet protocol engineering professional.
Consumers and the trade can easily locate SCTE-certified professionals across the country and in their area. More information on SCTE certification is available at www.scte.org/certification.
