Carlinville Area Hospital Auxiliary conducts a Mini-Medical Days for area fifth graders every year that includes tours of various hospital departments.

The fifth graders wrote essays regarding what they learned from the tour. Winners of the essay contest were then honored with their parents, teachers, and hospital employees during a recognition luncheon.

Each winner read his/her essay and received a certificate and recognition gift. The recognition luncheon was held Friday, March 1, 2013 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
