Karmak makes donating food a fun competition
In honor of February being National Canned Food Month, Karmak headquarters in Carlinville put together a friendly competition in support of the Carlinville Food Pantry.
Employees, split into three teams, were tasked with bringing in as many items as they could each week during the month of February. A prize was awarded at the end of each week for the team with the most items collected.
In the end, it was clear everyone was a winner. In true Karmak fashion, everyone involved went above and beyond to chip in. Over the course of the four weeks of competition, 11,016 total non-perishable items were collected, plus $1,545.25 in cash donations were received to be used toward perishable item purchases.
