James Edwin Reeves

James Edwin Reeves, 76, of Staunton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at 1:30 p.m., at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton. He was born Dec. 17, 1935, in Panama, Ill. to Hobart D. and Dorothy A. Frickleton Reeves.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
James attended grade school in Donnellson and high school in Hillsboro, graduating in 1954. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in Europe. He worked at Pomona Paper Mill in California for 35 years after which he returned to Staunton.

Surviving are lifelong friend, Katherine “Katy” Vesper, of Staunton; two children, Melanie Youst of Cleveland, Okla. and Kevin (Brenda) Reeves of Morganville, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Scott Reeves, Cara Reeves and Max Reeves.

Remains were cremated. No services are scheduled.
