Hallmark Healthcare tests ‘COVID-free’

Hallmark Healthcare of Carlinville, a skilled nursing facility in Carlinville, announced in a June 4 press release all of its residents and staff tested negative for the COVID-19 virus. The Macoupin County Health Department conducted the tests at the facility on May 19, 2020.

Skilled nursing facilities throughout the country are going through testing to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The county health department conducted the tests on-site and after a testing lab processed them, no residents or staff tested positive for COVID-19 (also known as coronavirus).

“The Hallmark Healthcare team has been taking every necessary precaution to try to prevent the COVID-19 virus from entering our building,” said Hallmark Healthcare of Carlinville Executive Director Tonya Alicea, NHA. “Our care center has worked hard to ensure that our staff has the necessary personal protective equipment and procedures in place, and we have had these in practice for months. These test results are a tremendous compliment about the work of the Hallmark Healthcare team.”
