Thursday, Feb. 6
An officer was dispatched to the police department reference a violation of order of protection.
Friday, Feb. 7
An officer was dispatched to the police department to take a report of child abuse. DCFS was contacted.
Sunday, Feb. 9
An officer was dispatched to the police department to take a report of criminal sexual abuse. This incident had reportedly happened in Eagarville.
An officer was dispatched to a business in the 900 block of North Hardroad, Mt. Clare to take a report of a traffic crash.
Monday, Feb. 10
An officer was requested by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department to assist them in recovering stolen items from a residence in the 200 block of West Charles Street.
Tuesday, Feb. 11
An officer was dispatched to a business in the 900 block of North Hardroad, Mt. Clare for a report of a male with a knife. Kenneth J. Costello, 52, of Litchfield was arrested for aggravated assault. The male posted bond and was released.
Wednesday, Feb. 12
An officer initiated a traffic stop at Route 4 and Route 138 in Mt. Clare. Jennifer E. Lewis, 39, of Gillespie was arrested on a warrant out of Macoupin County for failure to appear on assault. The female was unable to post bond and was taken to the Macoupin County Jail.
An officer initiated a traffic stop at Mt. Olive Road and Edgar Street in Eagarville. Mitchela P. Zbornak, 30, of Gillespie was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. The female was taken to the Macoupin County Jail.
Paul J. Parise, 48, of Belleville was issued a citation for failure to report a traffic crash.
Thursday, Feb. 13
The School Resource Officer reported a battery that took place at the Gillespie High School. A report was taken and the Department of Children and Family Services was contacted.
Friday, Feb. 14
An officer was dispatched to Oak Street at Fulton Street for a traffic crash.
Brandy L. Rose, 32, of New Douglas was arrested for driving while license suspended, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The female was taken to the Macoupin County Jail.
An officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Dorsey and Second streets in Mt. Clare. Ellen M. Agerton, 63, of Clarksville, Tenn., was issued a citation for speeding 45 mph in a 35 mph zone.
Saturday, Feb. 15
An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of South Macoupin Street to take a burglary report.
Editor’s Note: This is more detailed information for a Feb. 3 incident which appeared the previous week’s police reports.
A parking block was destroyed in the Gillespie High School parking lot. Reportedly this took place on the Saturday night before. Due to the IL Juvenile Control Act the name of the juvenile suspect cannot be released.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
