Bob Price Memorial Scholarship Golf Fundraiser Raised $16,889

Fourteen golf teams gathered at Timber Lakes Golf Course on September 25 and helped to raise over $16,889 for Price’s scholarship fund.

Some golfers were there to compete and some just for the fun, camaraderie, to remember Bob, and a “good cause”.

Bob’s family was present for the event, including sister Carol Harrison (North Carolina) and brothers Roger Price (Hillsboro) and Jerry and wife Keri Price of Washington; nieces Crissi Harrison (North Carolina) and Audra Harrison (Virginia) and nephew Logan Price (Washington).

Cash payouts went to the first three places, and eleventh place. First place, with a score of 61, went to Team Dany Baker, Mike Watson, (Hillsboro) David Cunningham, (Vandalia) and Brent Pinkston (Butler).

Second place, with a score of 62, went to team Mitch Scheller, Dave Scheller, Garth Garrells, and Andy Mayer from Mt. Olive. Third place, with a team score of 64, went to Joe Wallace (Taylor Springs), Clark Cameron (Hillsboro), Lenny Rakers and Chuck Satterlee (Pocahontas).

Team Jeremy Walk (Hillsboro), Scott Snow and Joe Snow (Irving), and Aaron Ziesler (Litchfield) placed eleventh with a score of 73.

Longest Drive winner was Bob Pitchford of Virden and Women’s Closest to the Pin was Margaret Stelle of Virden. Men’s Closest to the Pin winner was Dany Baker of Coffeen. Tod Dowdy (Carlinville) won a golf bag in the longest putt contest.

The winner of the cash/gun raffle was Charles Forester of Butler and he chose the gun.
