Fish fry to benefit Blevins

Fish fry to benefit Blevins

Dorchester Volunteer Fire Department will host a fish fry from 2-10 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, at Brittany Shooting Park (11374 Prairie Dell Road, Bunker Hill) to raise funds benefiting Bobbi (Kahl) Blevins of Dorchester. Fema Catering will provide the sides; meals will be available for carryout.

Blevins grew up in Dorchester; she and her husband, Terry (“Mouse”), remain in the community. She has served on the village board for several years, and she and her husband frequently volunteer during Dorchester’s annual homecoming celebration. She has been diagnosed with cancer and the family is facing financial challenges, such as uncovered medical expenses and lost wages.

The event, which is sponsored by the village of Dorchester, Dorchester Volunteer Fire Department and Fema Catering, will also include music and 50/50 and basket raffles; winners need not be present. All proceeds from the event will go to the family.

The Blevins family includes, from left, Terry Blevins (holding granddaughter Jadealyn), Bobbi Blevins, grandson Eli, daughter Mya (holding granddaughter Avianah), son Logan, son Cory, and daughter-in-law Christina.
