File to celebrate 90th birthday

An open house will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 to celebrate Wilma “Cricket” File’s 90th birthday at the Hettick Community Club, in Hettick.

Cricket was born on May 6, 1929, the daughter of Leland “Ink” Eyer and Verda Dewitt Eyer of Palmyra. She married Fred “Fredo” File Jr. on June 28, 1958, and they just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in 2018. They owned and operated Fredo and Cricket’s Northside Tavern in Palmyra until January 1, 1976. She is now a retired homemaker.

She has three children, Susie (Brian) Fenton of Palmyra; Kathy (Bill) Wolff of St. Louis, MO and Steve File of Palmyra. She has been blessed with 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild due to arrive in August.

Her children and grandchildren would like to invite family and friends to joins us in celebrating this milestone. If you are unable to attend and would like to send a card you may do so at 7684 Green Acres Lane, Palmyra, IL 62674. The family request no gifts.
