Dimond Bros celebrates 150 years
CARLINVILLE (Nov. 30, 2017) – Dimond Bros. Insurance kicked off their 150th anniversary celebration with a balloon launch and ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, Nov. 27. The ribbon-cutting was attended by members of Shop Local First, local officials and the public.
Dimond Bros. was established in 1867 by Albert Dimond and began with only two employees at that time. Since then it has added 35 more locations in Illinois, as well as one in Indiana, making Dimond Bros. one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the state of Illinois. The company’s headquarters are in Paris, Ill., which is where the company began. Mitch Newell is the sales executive at the Carlinville branch; he took over following Jeff Link’s retirement.
Through Dec. 1, Dimond Bros.’ Carlinville location is celebrating the anniversary with a customer appreciation week. The agency invites anyone to come in and pick up some cookies, muffins and refreshments as part of the celebration. There is also an opportunity to win one of two Shop Local First gift certificates.
Dimond Bros., located on the corner of North Broad and East Nicholas streets, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
