Lawsuit

Carol R. Young filed a complaint for eviction Nov. 26 against William Austin and Kaitlyn Meyer, seeking possession of property in Staunton and $460 rent.

Felonies

Mark E. Clark, now 44, Mt. Olive, has been charged with aggravated domestic battery in connection with an Oct. 30 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with his fist, breaking the individual’s nose.

Jacob A. Burke, now 32, Carlinville, has been charged with burglary, unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle and theft in connection with an Oct. 28 incident in which he allegedly entered a hotel room at the Carlinvilla Motel with the intent to commit a theft; possessed a 1999 Ford Ranger, knowing it to have been stolen; and exerted unauthorized control over a television valued at less than $500 belonging to the Carlinvilla Motel.

Misdemeanors

Rudie M. Jackson, now 22, Carlinville, has been charged with animal owner/failure to comply in connection with a Nov. 11 incident in which she allegedly knowingly left her pit bull dog loose in her apartment and the dog ran out the door of the apartment and bit a young female who was peaceably conducting herself and not provoking the dog in any way.

Oneta K. Edington, 61, Girard, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Nov. 17 incident in which she allegedly struck an individual in the face with an open hand, causing swelling and a broken blood vessel in the individual’s right eye.

Matthew M. Utinske, 39, Girard, has been charged with obstructing a peace officer in connection with a Nov. 17 incident in which he allegedly ran from an officer when advised he had a warrant out for his arrest in Sangamon County.

Gary W. Bates, 69, Carlinville, has been charged with dogs running at large in connection with a Nov. 17 incident in which two dogs owned by Bates allegedly were witnessed on another individual’s property on Regency Road, Carlinville, and attacked another dog.

Garrett W. Campbell, 18, Carlinville, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Nov. 20 incident.

Carly N. Gaffney, 31, Carlinville, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a Nov. 23 incident in which she allegedly was within 500 feet of a protected person.

DUI

Jessica M. Towle, 30, New Athens, has been charged with driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in connection with a Nov. 20 incident in which she allegedly drove a blue 2003 Ford on Interstate 55 northbound at mile post 45.
