Lawsuits

Tim Loveless filed a complaint for eviction Jan. 9 against Lori Ross, seeking possession of property in Gillespie and $924 rent.

Tim Loveless filed a complaint for eviction Jan. 11 against Josh Howland and Amber Truhlicka, seeking possession of property in Gillespie and $1,174 rent.

Tim Loveless filed a complaint for eviction Jan. 14 against Amanda and George Vernon, seeking possession of property in Benld and $1,480 rent.

Sonya Walker filed a complaint in replevin Jan. 14 against Rebecca Whitt, seeking possession of a 16×20 portable shed (valued at $3,500) and removal of an electrical pole ($1,300).

Bernhard Dzafic Jr. filed a complaint for eviction Jan. 15 against Barb Pingleton, seeking possession of property in Carlinville, $1,150 rent and $300 for a water bill.

Felonies

Damian L. Pratt, 39, Palmyra, has been charged with aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer in connection with a Dec. 19 incident in which he allegedly shut a door on the arm of a police officer, ran from the officer and had to be taken to the ground, causing the officer to break his ankle.

Erin M. Mull, 36, Staunton, has been charged with four counts of forgery in connection with July 21, Sept. 22 and Sept. 23 incidents in which she allegedly made false checks payable to Clark Gas Station in Mt. Olive for $50, $40.82. $99.39 and $130.57, signed as other individuals.

Clayton K. Coffman, 21, Bunker Hill, has been charged with aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer in connection with a Jan. 7 incident in which he allegedly struck an officer on the shoulder with his fist and fled from the officer after being told he was under arrest.

Michael D. Poore, 51, Collinsville, has been charged with possession of meth (more than five grams but less than 15 grams) with the intent to deliver and meth possession (more than five grams but less than 15 grams) in connection with a Jan. 8 incident.

Tracy M. Price, 32, Girard, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with an Oct. 8, 2018, incident.

James K. Gwinn, now 37, Raymond, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a Jan. 13 incident in which he allegedly struck a nurse in the neck with his fist.

Robert A. Richardson, 29, Shiloh, has been charged with bringing contraband into a penal institution and unlawful possession of a controlled substance in connection with a Jan. 12 incident in which he allegedly brought MDMA into Macoupin County Jail and possessed less than 15 grams of a substance containing MDMA. He was also charged with driving while license revoked, driver required to wear seat belt, speeding 21-25 mph above the limit (91 mph in a 70 mph zone) and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Breanna M. Agnew, 22, St. Louis, Mo., has been charged with possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in connection with a Jan. 12 incident in which she allegedly possessed a Smith and Wesson 40-caliber handgun and carried on her person a pistol on Interstate 55, a public highway, when the pistol was uncased, loaded and immediately accessible.

Misdemeanors

Jerry E. Shafer, 32, Staunton, has been charged with resisting a peace officer in connection with a Jan. 7 incident in which he allegedly fled from an officer after being told he was under arrest.

Jackie L. Peters, 38, Bunker Hill, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Jan. 7 incident in which he allegedly put his arm around an individual’s neck and squeezed.

James E. Wilson, 47, Gillespie, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Jan. 7 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual’s arm and squeezed, causing bruising.

Hercules H. Harmon, 31, Palmyra, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Jan. 7 incident in which he allegedly bit an individual on the arm.

James K. Stroh, 36, Springfield, has been charged with obstructing identification in connection with a Jan. 4 incident in which he allegedly furnished a false name to an officer who had detained him.

Michael A. DeVries, 47, Virden, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a Jan. 8 incident in which he allegedly came within 500 feet of a protected location.

Monica R. Ansell, 41, Brighton, has been charged with resisting a peace officer and driving under the influence in connection with a Jan. 9 incident in which she allegedly pulled away from an officer after being told she was under arrest.

Jamie E. Cox, 33, Carlinville, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Jan. 10 incident in which she allegedly struck an individual with an open hand, causing a bloody nose.

Sandy G. Griffin Jr., 20, East St. Louis, has been charged with obstructing identification in connection with a Jan. 10 incident in which he allegedly furnished a false name to an officer who had detained him.

Ruth A. Allen, 35, Staunton, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Jan. 13 incident in which she allegedly struck an individual in the face with her hand.
