Ross Beckman filed a complaint in forcible entry Nov. 26 against Tiffany Mims of Staunton. The plaintiff is seeking the possession of property in Staunton, past due rent of $650 plus late charges, attorney’s fees and the costs of the suit.

Felonies
William J. Corbin III, 21, of Gillespie has been charged with theft in connection with an April 17 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly took a PlayStation Portable valued at less than $500 from an individual with the intent to permanently deprive the owner of its use.

Blake C. Pingleton, 18, of Carlinville has been charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a Nov. 25 incident in the 300 block of West Second South Street in which the defendant allegedly knowingly damaged another individual’s iPhone 5.

Terry L. Adams, 58, of Gillespie has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Nov. 2 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 1989 white GMC in the vicinity of Carney Road and the lake office in Gillespie.

Timothy Devor, 57, of Springfield has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Nov. 24 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 2003 black Chevrolet in the vicinity of milepost 41 on I-55.

John A. Vacanti, 26, of Mt. Clare has been charged with theft in connection with a Nov. 26 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly took a green metal pallet shelf valued at more than $500 but less than $10,000 with the intent to permanently deprive the owner of its use.

Doris E. Knop, 55, of Staunton has bas been charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance in connection with a November incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly had less than 15 grams of a substance containing oxycodone.

Misdemeanors
Michael S. Pirok, 32, of has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a Nov. 23 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly sent a text message to a protected individual, an act prohibited by the order of protection.

Dominique D. Byots, 20, of Gillespie has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Nov. 25 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly struck an individual in the leg and face.

Doug M. Passig, 20, of Bunker Hill has been charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Nov. 18 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly consumed alcohol while under the age of 21 while northbound on Route 159 an estimated half mile south of Bunker Hill. The defendant also was issued a citation for speeding as he was traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Michael R. Striplin, 27, of Palmyra has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Nov. 19 incident in which the defendant alelgedly knowingly struck an individual in the back of the head with his hand.

James M. Venrick, 38, of Virden has been charged with battery in connection with a Nov. 20 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly caused bodily harm in that he pushed an individual twice, once in the chest, once in the back.

James F. Smith, 49, of Wilsonville has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Nov. 26 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly struck an individual in the back of the head.

Eric G. Saucek, 39, of Gillespie has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Nov. 27 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly knocked an individual to the floor.

DUIs
Jennifer M. Prose, 31, of Florissant, Mo. has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a Nov. 10 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 2010 white Nissan in the vicinity of Deneen and North streets in Staunton at approximately 11:51 p.m. The defendant also was issued a citation for improper lane usage.
