Lawsuits

Absolute Resolutions Investments, LLC, filed a complaint Sept. 5 against Colleen M. Koprowitz, seeking $19,132.58 unpaid on a consumer loan agreement, plus costs of the suit.

Secretary of Veterans Affairs filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Sept. 10 against unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Bunker Hill.

Felonies

Leeann C. Bennington, 22, Bunker Hill, has been charged with residential burglary and theft in connection with an Aug. 31 incident in which she allegedly entered an apartment in the 100 block of South Meissner Street, Bunker Hill, with the intent to commit a theft and exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s wedding ring valued at more than $500 but less than $10,000.

Carrie A. O’Brien, 45, Gillespie, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth and criminal trespass to real property in connection with a Sept. 6 incident in which she allegedly entered an individual’s building in the 500 block of Park Avenue, Gillespie, after receiving notice prior to entry that such entry was forbidden.

Willie E. Lewis, 29, Springfield, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance in connection with a Sept. 17 incident in which he allegedly possessed less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

William A. Rodriguez, 23, Bunker Hill, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Sept. 8 incident.

Dylan R. Bennett, 19, Atwater, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a Sept. 8 incident in which he allegedly took Busch beer, Fireball whiskey and Tito’s Handmade Vodka with a total value of less than $500 from Carlinville Walmart.

Misdemeanors

Ryan P. Schultze, 40, Staunton, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with an Aug. 26 incident in which he allegedly pushed an individual and struck the individual in the face with a remote.

William S. Nix, 26, Gillespie, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Sept. 3 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with a closed fist.

Jiles R. Lyons, 29, Benld, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Sept. 4 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with his fist.

Austin W. Johnson, 21, Girard, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Sept. 9 incident in which he allegedly used profane language and fighting words directed at an individual.

Taylor T. Montgomery, 19, Springfield, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Sept. 9 incident.

DUIs

Dillon M. Wiser, 23, Carlinville, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and driving 1-10 mph above the limit (38 mph in a 30 mph zone) in connection with a Sept. 2 incident in which he allegedly drove a tan 1998 Chevrolet on North Broad Street at McDaniel Street, Carlinville.

Patricia D. David, 68, Benld, has been charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to yield to an authorized emergency vehicle and leaving the scene of a property damage crash in connection with a Sept. 8 incident in which she allegedly drove a white 2007 Chevrolet on Route 4 northbound at Country Club Lane, Carliville.
