Lawsuits

Discover Bank filed a complaint July 31 against Micky S. Cody, seeking $14,679.17 unpaid on a credit card account, plus statutory post-judgment interest and costs.

Arlene J. and Donald D. Norris filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 2 against Kendal W. Jordan, seeking possession of property in Hettick.

Eric J. Greenwalt Sr. filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 6 against Debbie L. Hayes, seeking possession of property in Girard.

Gerald D. Gorsich filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 6 against Corey Gorsich and Christina Grinnell, seeking possession of property in Mt. Olive.

Felonies

Dakota J. Fones, 21, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful failure to register as a sex offender in connection with a July 5 incident in which he allegedly failed to complete his annual registration with Carlinville Police Department.

Ricky L. Flynn Jr., 43, Carlinville, has been charged with forgery and theft in connection with a July 29 incident in which he allegedly knowingly made a document apparently capable of defrauding another (an age verification and credit card transaction receipt dated July 29) in that said document was purported to have been made by another, and exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s cash valued at less than $500.

Alphonso M. Anderson, 21, Carlinville, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with an Aug. 1 incident in which he allegedly shot an individual in the left collarbone with an air rifle.

Kendal W. Jordan, 24, Hettick, has been charged with aggravated battery and resisting arrest in connection with an Aug. 1 incident in which he allegedly rammed a peace officer with his shoulder and kicked the door of the officer’s squad car into the officer’s leg, causing injury.

William J. Kampwerth, 35, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with an Aug. 3 incident in which he allegedly possessed a four-door 2007 Pontiac, knowing it to have been stolen.

Courtney E. Estes, 23, Divernon, has been charged with theft in connection with a June 22 incident in which she allegedly exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s cash valued at more than $500 but less than $2,000, as well as with forgery in connection with an incident between June 22 and July 12 in which she allegedly knowingly made a document apparently capable of defrauding another, said document being a check dated July 7, payable to Joe’s in the amount of $85, and signed as another individual.

Misdemeanors

Kyle W. Bost, 27, Litchfield, has been charged with battery in connection with a July 22 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual by the shoulder and pulled.

Robert J. Bell, 29, Carlinville, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with an Aug. 2 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual by the throat and squeezed.

DUI

Jared M. Schwent, 26, Decatur, has been charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving 21-25 mph above the limit (93 mph in a 70 mph zone) in connection with a July 30 incident in which he allegedly drove a white 2004 Toyota in Interstate 55 northbound at milepost 45.5.
