Lawsuits

Robert R. Ernst filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 23 against Melissa Hansen, seeking possession of property in Virden $1,765 rent, damages, attorney’s fees and costs of the suit.

Neil Carnaby and Sue Pirok filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 24 against Curtis Bloomquist and Heather Meyers, seeking possession of property in Staunton and $525 rent.

Larry Mouser filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Aug. 24 against Sydney Lomelino, seeking possession of property in Virden and $1,450 rent.

Felonies

Cheyanne M. Shaw, 18, Jerseyville, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with an Aug. 14 incident.

Jared M. Schwent, 26, Decatur, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing alprazolam) in connection with a July 30 incident.

Melissa D. Miller, 38, Palmyra, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a July 25 incident.

Kevin W. Clark, 24, Bunker Hill, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with an Aug. 21 incident in which he allegedly spit on a peace officer.

Daniel C. Schlensker, now 21, Granite City, has been charged with unlawful possession of more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of cannabis with the intent to deliver in connection with a July 18 incident.

Adam L. Gideon, 29, Waverly, has been charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with an Aug. 3 incident in which he allegedly possessed a 2017 Mazda CX5, knowing it to have been stolen.

Ethan A. Lee, 23, Carlinville, has been charged with meth possession (more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams of a substance containing meth) in connection with a July 23 incident. He was also charged with fleeing/attempting to elude and driving while license suspended.

Cassidy A. Hall, 35, Carlinville, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with an Aug. 25 incident in which she allegedly shoved a peace officer in the chest.

Shane C. Chance, 21, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a May 25 incident.

Misdemeanors

Brad A. LaRose, 44, Staunton, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with an Aug. 22 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual by the throat and squeezed.

Gregory L. Riley, now 27, St. Louis, Mo., has been charged with obstructing identification in connection with a July 11 incident in which he allegedly furnished a false name to a peace officer who had detained him.

Tenekwa D. Blair, 24, Springfield, has been charged with obstructing identification in connection with an Aug. 5incident in which she allegedly furnished a false name to a peace officer who had detained her.

Amanda L. Hill, a.k.a. Amanda L. Neel, 32, Carlinville, has been charged with criminal trespass to residence and criminal damage to property in connection with an Aug. 25 incident in which she allegedly entered a residence in the 200 block of West Breckenridge, Carlinville, after previously being informed such entry was forbidden, and caused less than $500 damage to an individual’s window screen.
