Lawsuits

Larry Butler filed a complaint July 27 against Senior Health Specialties, Inc., d.b.a. The Glenwood of Staunton, and Leslie Vannoy in connection with a  July 22, 2016, incident in which he allegedly sustained a back injury while working at Senior Health Specialties. The suit alleges Butler was discharged on July 29, 2106, for requesting Illinois Workers’ Compensation benefits and that Vannoy, his supervisor, provided incomplete and inaccurate information to Senior Health Specialties and failed to perform an adequate investigation. He seeks an amount in excess of $50,000.

Michael J. LaRosa filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer July 24 against Darrek K. Woolsey and Celia Harvey, seeking possession of property in Staunton and $2,225 rent.

Dennis Rull filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer July 25 against Patricia Bellman, seeking possession of property in Bunker Hill and $5,750 rent.

Midland Funding LLC filed a complaint July 25 against Edward Butler, seeing $12,608.52 unpaid on a charge account and/or line of credit, plus court costs.

Barclays Bank Delaware filed a complaint July 25 against Mary J. Enrietta, seeking $10,497.45 unpaid on a charge account and/or line of credit, plus court costs.

Neal Carnaby and Sue Pirok filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer July 26 against Matthew Stull and Miranda Steinbrook, seeking possession of property in Staunton and $1,235 rent, plus costs and damages.

Kimberly L. Nicaise, now 28, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a June 24 incident.

Nathan J. Karrick, 51, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a July 4 incident.

Anel Berisa, 21, Mt. Olive, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a May 11 incident.

Ricky L. Flynn Jr., 43, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a May 11 incident.

Jeffi J. Martin, 36, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing hydrocodone) in connection with a March 22 incident.

Tammy J. Martin, 58, Sorento, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a March 22 incident.

Dennis S. Cullen, 41, Medora, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a May 1 incident.

Larry D. Keffer, 59, Mt. Olive, has been charged with burglary and theft in connection with a July 25 incident in which he allegedly entered a home in the 400 block of North Fourth Street, Benld, with the intent to commit a theft and exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s Milwaukee brand power tools with a total value of less than $500.

Keffer, 31, Benld, has been charged with burglary and theft in connection with a July 25 incident in which he allegedly entered a home in the 400 block of North Fourth Street, Benld, with the intent to commit a theft and exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s Milwaukee brand power tools with a total value of less than $500.

Kevin L. Morgan, 35, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a July 25 incident.

Jason A. Strahan, 40, Benld, has been charged with possession of a certificate of title without complete assignment in connection with a July 29 incident in which he allegedly possessed a certificate of title to a 2000 Kia Sportage without complete assignment. He was also charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and driving while license suspended.

Brandon W. Wilson, 20, Staunton, has been charged with aggravated battery and meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a July 28 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual on the left wrist with a miniature bat while on public property belonging to the city of Staunton.

Misdemeanors

Richard S. Jett, now 40, Carlinville, has been charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a May 28 incident in which he allegedly caused less than $500 damage to property of Walmart, being washcloths and a shower curtain, by taking said items offered for sale as new and using them to dry himself within the store. He was also charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a July 5 incident in which he allegedly entered onto property of Carlinville Walmart after previously being notified by Walmart that he was not allowed to enter onto said property.

Tabatha L. Lynn, 34, Carlinville, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a June 6 incident in which she allegedly threatened violence upon an individual.

Erin M. Mull, 36, Gillespie, has been charged with two counts of retail theft in connection with July 12 incidents in which she allegedly took medication valued at less than $300 from Carl’s IGA in Carlinville and a thermometer valued at less than $300 from Sullivan’s Drugs in Staunton.

Walter L. Vester, 24, Gillespie, has been charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a July 8 incident in which he allegedly entered upon property of Westview Apartments in Gillespie after previously being notified by the property owner that he was not allowed to enter onto said property.

Sidney T. Ward, 27, Carlinville, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a July 4 incident in which he allegedly took Powerade valued at less than $300 from Casey’s General Store in Carlinville.

Emanuel D. Welch, 22, Shipman, has been charged with obstructing identification in connection with a May 30 incident in which he allegedly furnished a false name to a peace officer who had detained him.

Gregory A. Bolino, 30, Girard, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a June 11 incident in which he allegedly took a flute valued at less than $300 from It Is What It Is in Carlinville.

Jessica L. Winn, 21, Godfrey, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a July 25 incident in which she allegedly attempted to instigate a fight with an individual. She was also charged with intoxicated pedestrian.

Jason W. Reeves, 41, Bridgeport, has been charged with obstructing identification in connection with a July 26 incident in which he allegedly furnished a false name to a peace officer who had detained him.

Jordan E. Ward, now 19, has been charged with possession of a firearm without requisite firearm owner’s ID card in connection with an April 30 incident in which he allegedly possessed a Mossber Maverick 88, 12 gauge, without having in his possession a FOID card.
