Lawsuits

Brenda Albrecht filed a complaint July 10 against Community Memorial Hospital (now Community Hospital of Staunton) and Brandi Crawford, alleging that she faced age discrimination and retaliation while working there.

Denise C. Haden filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer July 12 against Ian A. Hampsey, seeking possession of property in Brighton.

Carolyn Burton filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer July 14 against Shannon Corwin, seeking possession of property in Virden, $2,038 rent, damages, court fees, and keys to the apartment.

Chris Ribble filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer July 14 against Anthony Mull and unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Carlinville, $1,800 rent and costs.

First National Bank in Staunton filed a complaint July 17 against Gene W. and Roganne Smalley, seeking $38,049.07 unpaid on a promissory note, plus expenses, attorney’s fees, additional accrued interest to the date of judgment from July 12, 2017, and costs of the suit.

Felonies

Christopher W. Nix, 42, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of meth in connection with a July 6 incident in which he allegedly possessed more than five grams but less than 15 grams of meth.

David W. Johnson, 39, Wilsonville, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a July 7 incident in which he allegedly pushed a peace officer in the chest.

Kenneth Deering, 28, Wilsonville, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a July 7 incident in which he allegedly punched a peace officer in the face.

Alicia N. Tamosaitis, 20, Girard, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a July 8 incident.

Jonathan A. Coolidge, 26, Staunton, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a July 8 incident in which he allegedly spit on the chest of an EMS personnel.

Rudolph H. Jackson, now 53, Royal Lakes, has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence in connection with a Feb. 25 incident in which he allegedly drove a Pontiac Grand Prix on Route 159 near Route 138 while there was any amount of drug in his urine and was involved in a motor vehicle crash that resulted in great bodily harm to an individual.

David S. Tallman, 36, Shipman, has been charged with driving while license revoked and unlawful possession of a controlled substance in connection with a June 2 incident in which he allegedly drove a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta on Pine Street at Madison Street, Gillespie, and possessed a substance containing FUB-AMB.

Bryan Weller, 36, Litchfield, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a July 14 incident.

Angela C. Gravois, 40, Litchfield, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth and unlawful possession of a controlled substance in an improper container in connection with a July 15 incident in which she allegedly possessed hydrocodone in a container other than was delivered to her by the person dispensing said substance, as it was in a plastic baggie without an identifying label.

Misdemeanors

Jake D. Vesper, 24, Gillespie, has been charged with assault in connection with a June 30 incident in which he allegedly swung his fist at an individual.

Matthew S. Lippa, 30, Peoria, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a July 2 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the stomach with his fist.

Katlynn R. Minor, 19, Worden, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a July 5 incident in which she allegedly took food, cosmetics and clothing with a total value of less than $300 from Dollar General in Mt. Olive.

Scott A. Pilger, 33, Staunton, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a July 1 incident in which he allegedly was within 500 feet of a protected place.

Nicholas R. Hupp, 21, Staunton, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a July 7 incident in which he allegedly pushed an individual in the back.

Jeffrey A. Bernot, 51, Benld, has been charged in connection with a July 10 incident in which he allegedly came within 500 feet of a protected location.

Darrell T. Pocklington, 51, Girard, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a Nov. 28, 2016, incident in which he allegedly delivered a check for $20 to Waytown Tavern, knowing his bank would not honor the draft.

Charles H. Gray, 27, Staunton, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a July 14 incident in which he allegedly called a protected person numerous times and texted the person. He was also charged with driving on a suspended license.

David E. Stricklan, 39, Mt. Clare, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a July 16 incident in which he allegedly hit an individual in the face with his hand.

Samantha J. Higgins, 32, Modesto, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a July 15 incident in which she allegedly grabbed an individual and pulled the individual down the stairs.

Brandon C. Lackey, 34, Carlinville, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a July 15 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual and pulled the individual down the stairs.

DUIs

Brandon M. Clements, 25, Farmersville, has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a July 3 incident in which he allegedly drove a blue 2007 Chevrolet truck on Richie Road at Duncan Road, southeast of Palmyra.

Nathan R. Dickerson, 38, Mt. Olive, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of disobeying a stop sign in connection with a July 10 incident in which he allegedly drove a red 1994 Ford truck on the Interstate 55 northbound exit ramp at Staunton Road.

Tracy A. Uzzell, 50, Staunton, has been charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage in connection with a July 9 incident in which he allegedly drove a gray 2008 Chevrolet on Old Route 66 at West Eighth South Street, Mt. Olive.
