Lawsuit

LM Insurance Corporation filed a complaint June 15 against David Brown, seeking $14,183 unpaid for workers compensation insurance premiums, plus costs.

Felonies

Tabitha N. Harbaugh, 28, Carlinville, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a March 8 incident.

Chad E. Keeney, 35, Carlinville, has been charged with aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer in connection with a June 3 incident in which he allegedly threw an individual over a porch rail, then kicked and punched the individual, causing a broken vertebra; and went limp upon arrest and had to be carried.

Joshua R. Thiessen, 32, Litchfield, has been charged with escape in connection with a June 1 incident in which he allegedly knowingly failed to report for periodic imprisonment at Macoupin County Jail.

Stephanie R. Williams, 25, Girard, has been charged with escape in connection with a June 1 incident in which she allegedly knowingly failed to report for periodic imprisonment at Macoupin County Jail.

Martin E. Boatman, 32, Carlinville, has been charged with stalking in connection with a June 7 incident in which he allegedly engaged in a course of conduct directed at an individual, knowing the conduct would cause a reasonable person to suffer emotional distress, in that he showed up at places where the individual was on May 24, May 25, June 2, June 4 and June 6; was warned by an officer to stop contacting the individual on June 4; and made numerous phone calls and text messages during the months of May and June.

Walter L. Vester, 24, Wilsonville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon in connection with a June 7 incident in which he allegedly possessed a firearm.

Ryan D. Beck, 30, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and unlawful possession of meth (less than five grams) in connection with a June 11 incident in which he allegedly possessed a .22 caliber pistol. He was also charged with improper use of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Jennifer L. Markulakis, now 44, Litchfield, has been charged with theft in connection with incidents between October 2016 and December 2017 in which she allegedly exerted unauthorized control over more than $100,000 but less than $500,000 cash belonging to LW Chemicals of Mt. Olive.

Misdemeanors

Kathryn M. Lott, 37, Carlinville, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a May 24 incident in which she allegedly was within 500 feet of a protected party.

James A. Corley, 52, East Alton, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a June 9 incident in which he allegedly sent a text message to a protected person.

Destiny M. Weller, now 26, Carlinville, has been charged with two counts of deceptive practices in connection with March 20 incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks for $30 and $35 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing her bank would not honor the drafts.

Anthony P. Lomelino, 24, Virden, has been charged with nine counts of deceptive practices in connection with May 29, May 31, June 1, June 3, June 4, June 6 and June 11 incidents in which he allegedly delivered checks for $66.95, $54.75, $122.24, $138.99, $127.07, $160.93, $199.74, $110.70 and $140.88 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing his bank would not honor the drafts.

Cody R. Bain, 25, Lake Kaho, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a June 12 incident in which he allegedly threatened to kill an individual.

Sally J. Scoggins, 57, Carlinville, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a June 10 incident in which she allegedly took ranitidine valued at less than $500 from Carlinville Walmart.

Melissa D. Miller, 37, Palmyra, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a June 14 incident in which she allegedly struck an individual in the back with her fist.

Gerald R. Cairns, 58, Gillespie, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a June 14 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual’s arm and threatened to punch the individual.

Kyra I. Mostajo, 35, Livingston, has been charged with battery in connection with a June 8 incident in which she allegedly struck an individual in the arm with a baseball bat.

DUIs

Robert J. Noe, 46, Gillespie, has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a June 4 incident in which he allegedly drove a red 2007 Dodge truck at the intersection of Staunton Road and Southern Street, Gillespie.

Bradley E. Valdes, 27, Brighton, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of improper lane usage in connection with a June 11 incident in which he allegedly drove a red 2007 Dodge truck on Brighton Bunker Hill Road east of Piasa.
