John and Sharon Paoni filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer June 6 against Brandon and Shannon Miller, seeking possession of property in Staunton, rent, attorney’s fees and costs.

Charles Atchison filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer June 8 against Kenneth and Cheryl Peuterbaugh, seeking possession of property in Bunker Hill and $4,060 rent.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer June 8 against Brittany, Jamie and Destiny Griffiths and all unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Virden; $2,675 rent; and attorney’s fees, costs and service totaling $531.

Kenneth Whitley filed a complaint in replevin June 12 against Debra M. Whitley-Walch and Ryan A. Walch, seeking possession of various property with a total value of $50,000 to $80,000.

Felonies

Damian L. Pratt, 28, Girard, has been charged with aggravated domestic battery in connection with a May 28 incident in which he allegedly strangled an individual.

Amber N. Beasley, now 25, Staunton, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin) ion connection with a March 25 incident.

Jonathan D. Overstreet, 33, Gillespie, has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery in connection with a June 3 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual on the head with his hand while on Route 4 and at the Black Diamond Days ticket booth.

Greg L. Edgington, 34, Virden, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth (less than five grams) in connection with a June 5 incident.

Ashley N. Crenshaw, now 27, Carlinville, has been charged with forgery and theft in connection with a May 15 incident in which she allegedly made a receipt for a credit card transaction, purportedly made by another, and exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s debit card valued at less than $500.

Daniel L. Holden, 55, Wilsonville, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a June 4 incident in which he allegedly grabbed a disabled individual and removed the individual from a car.

Andrew E. Erwin, 33, Staunton, has been charged with possession of meth (more than five grams but less than 15 grams) with intent to deliver in connection with a June 8 incident.

Caitlin D. Page, 23, Staunton, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth (less than give grams) in connection with a June 8 incident.

Trisha R. Cormier, 43, Nilwood, has been charged with threatening a public official in connection with a June 5 incident in which she allegedly conveyed a threat to the Village Board of Nilwood indirectly by telling Village Clerk Alyssa J. Tuala a verbal communication containing a threat to kill the village board due to receiving an ordinance.

Misdemeanors

Destiny M. Weller, now 35, Carlinville, has been charged with theft in connection with an Aug. 1, 2016, incident in which she allegedly took money valued at less than $500 from Casey’s General Store in Carlinville.

Kendra J. Nix, 44, Carlinville, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a May 19 incident in which she allegedly, in committing an assault, had a purple baton.

Christopher J. Nix, 42, Raymond, has been charged with assault in connection with a May 19 incident in which he allegedly made threats at an individual.

Shawn A. Lee, 43, Carlinville, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a May 19 incident in which he allegedly, in committing an assault, had two CO2 pistols.

Cody J. Elfgen, now 29, East Alton, has been charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (a pipe) and cannabis (more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams) in connection with a Feb. 13 incident.

William J. Sanks, 60, Staunton, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a June 6 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual and took the individual to the floor.

Nathan Wolff, 31, Brighton, has been charged with cows running at large in connection with a June 1 incident.

Christopher R. Lott, 40, Carlinville, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a June 9 incident in which he allegedly called a protected person.

April Lovelace, 42, Decatur, has been charged with battery in connection with a May 20 incident in which she allegedly struck an individual in the head with her fist.

Sheryl L. Cousin, 57, Virden, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a June 1 incident in which she allegedly took a lounge chair and clothing valued at less than $300 from Dollar General in Virden.

Amanda L. Hill, 30, Carlinville, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a June 11 incident in which she allegedly was within 500 feet of a protected place.

DUIs

Robert E. Talavera, 40, Auburn, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of illegal transportation of alcohol and driving 15-20 mph above the limit (87 mph in a 70 mph zone) in connection with a May 26 incident in which he allegedly drove a white 2004 Chevrolet truck on Interstate 55 at milepost 43.

Chad M. Wilkinson, 38, Bunker Hill, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of no signal lamp or signal device (no stop light) in connection with a June 4 incident in which he allegedly drove a white 2006 Dodge truck on Willhoit Airport Road south of Sawyerville Hills Road, west of Sawyerville.

Ronald B. Cyrus, now 52, Chicago, has been charged with driving under the influence, failure to wear seat belt and driving 15-20 mph above the limit (90 mph in a 70 mph zone) in connection with a June 2 incident in which he allegedly drove a black 2001 Ford truck on Interstate 55 at milepost 47.

Rebekah A. Hoots, 44, Carlinville, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of disobeying a stop sign in connection with a June 8 incident in which she allegedly drove a red 2008 Chevrolet on South Locust at West Main, Carlinville.

Nathan J. Dugan, 38, Carlinville, has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to signal when required in connection with a June 8 incident in which he allegedly drove a black 2010 Dodge on West Main at South Locust, Carlinville.
