Lawsuits

Duane Loy and Darren Loy filed a lawsuit May 26 against Kenneth Loy, alleging that K. Loy, at an April 27 Farmer’s State Bank of Medora board meeting, made a false public statement to other board members alleging as fact that the plaintiffs are drug dealers, thereby implying they had committed serious criminal offenses. The plaintiffs seek a judgment finding that K. Loy made a false statement against each plaintiff; that the statements imputed the commission of criminal offenses; and entering awards against K. Loy and for each plaintiff for presumed damages as determined by the court.

Gary Glabe (by property manager Matthew Perry) filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer May 25 against Micah and Amanda King, seeking possession of property in Carlinville and $6,300 rent.

Roy Davis Sr. Filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer May 26 against Samantha Higgins and Brandon Lackey, seeking possession of property in Carlinville, $1,150 rent, damages and court costs.

Capital One Bank, N.A., filed a complaint May 26 against Laura Hicks, seeking $22,976.35 unpaid on an account, plus costs.

Felonies

Tara S. Kettler, 19, Staunton, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a May 19 incident.

Andrew W. Rice, 26, Springfield, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth with intent to deliver (more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams), unlawful possession of meth (more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams), unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver (more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams) and resisting a peace officer in connection with a May 18 incident in which he allegedly pulled away from an officer.

Joshua D. Rhodes, 30, Gillespie, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth (less than five grams) in connection with a May 19 incident.

Dustin M. Luketich, 27, East Gillespie, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth (less than five grams) in connection with a May 19 incident.

Jason M. Connors, 37, Donnellson, has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine, as well as a substance containing Fentanyl) and one count of driving while license revoked in connection with a Feb. 22 incident.

Colt A. Stephens, now 31, Morrisonville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (FUB-AMB) in connection with an April 30 incident.

Zachary G. LeMaire, 23, Moline, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine) in connection with a Jan. 19 incident.

Tracy M. Price, 31, Waggoner, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth (less than five grams) in connection with a May 23 incident. She was also charged with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to signal when required.

John M. Molinar, 31, Staunton, has been charged with possession of the credit card of another in connection with a May 11 incident in which he allegedly received an individual’s Visa debit card, knowing it to have been taken without the individual’s consent, with the intent to use said card.

Kenneth E. Wannamaker, 63, Staunton, has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and theft in connection with a May 22 incident in which he allegedly possessed a 2014 Buick Enclave, knowing it to have been stolen, and exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s property ($1,000 in the form of debit card transactions).

Joel W. Klocke, 32, Bunker Hill, has been charged with escape in connection with a May 20 incident in which he allegedly failed to report to Macoupin County Jail when ordered to do so.

Quentin A. Floyd, 22, Worden, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing alprazolam) in connection with a Jan. 21 incident.

Anthony S. Zumwalt, 22, Gillespie, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing Lysergic acid diethylamide) in connection with a May 24 incident.

Shannon M. Coleman, 32, Girard, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a May 25 incident in which she allegedly called Macoupin County 911 to transmit a complaint that there was an emergency, knowing there was no reasonable grounds for making the call and that the call could and did result in the emergency response of law enforcement.

Misdemeanor

Courtney Tadlock, 35, Mt. Olive, has been charged with battery in connection with a May 20 incident in which she allegedly grabbed an individual’s arm.

DUIs

Jackson K. Semplowski, 18, Gillespie, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of improper lane usage, expired registration and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a May 20 incident in which he allegedly drove a blue 2001 Oldsmobile on Route 16 east of Broadway, near Hornsby.

Emma M. Grove, 37, Gillespie, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence in connection with a May 22 incident in which she allegedly drove a silver 2001 BMW station wagon on Three Mile Lane near Gillespie.
