Lawsuits

Macoupin County Housing Authority filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer May 9 against Jessica Maurer, seeking possession of property in Staunton; rent, late charges and/or other monies due and owing; reasonable attorney’s fees; and court costs.

Pamela Billings filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer May 11 against Richard Konecy, seeking possession of property in Staunton and $470 rent.

Larry L. Karns filed a complaint in replevin May 19 against Bryan Waggoner, seeking possession of a Rheem 199,000 BTU high efficiency tankless water heater and 11,000 square feet of mahogany flooring, valued at a total of $11,000.

Felonies

Gregory S. Roth, 39, Staunton, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) and resisting a peace officer in connection with a May 2 incident in which he allegedly pulled away from an officer when being lawfully detained.

Douglas F. Manns, 40, Alton, has been charged with meth possession (more than five grams but less than 15 grams) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine) in connection with a May 3 incident.

Bryan R. Nowman, 54, Virden, has been charged with forgery in connection with an April 20 incident in which he allegedly knowingly made a credit application and agreement with Hendricks Home Furnishings with a credit line of $2,383, purported to have been made by another individual.

Carl G. Stauffer, 48, Nebo, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth (less than five grams of a substance containing meth) and a controlled substance (a substance containing hydrocodone) in connection with a May 8 incident.

Erica C. Logsdon, 33, Springfield, has been charged with theft in connection with a March 18 incident in which she allegedly exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s laptop, CPAP machine and sunglasses with a total value of more than $500 but less than $10,000.

Daniel R. Gooding, 29, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful deliver of meth  in connection with an April 11 incident in which he allegedly delivered less than five grams of meth to an inspector. He was also charged with theft in connection with an April 3 incident in which he allegedly obtained control over an individual’s stolen property (an Apple MacBook Pro and Apple iPad, valued in excess of $500) under such circumstances as would reasonably induce the defendant to believe the property was stolen.

Dustin J. Ivey, 20, Mt. Olive, has been charged with theft in connection with an April 27 incident in which he allegedly exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s ATV and UTV, valued at more than $10,000 but less than $100,000.

Dustin M. Blum, 28, Carlinville, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a March 11 incident.

Misdemeanors

Christopher L. Davis, 37, Peoria, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a May 7 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with his fist.

Justin J. Yunker, 24, Palmyra, has been charged with criminal damage to property in connection with an April 29 incident in which he allegedly knowingly caused less than $500 damage to an individual’s car.

Ryan T. Lindgens, 29, Williamson, has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon in connection with an April 27 incident in which he allegedly possessed a knuckle weapon commonly known as brass knuckles.

Mallory E. Ellis, 28, Gillespie, has been charged with battery in connection with a May 4 incident in which she allegedly grabbed an individual by the hair and pulled.

Jeremy W. Stroud 33, Troy, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a May 8 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual and threw the individual to the ground.

Samantha J. Dailey, 31, Godfrey, has been charged with theft in connection with an April 3 incident in which she allegedly exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s title to a vehicle, valued at less than $500.

Curtis E. Raab, 47, Carlinville, has been charged with battery in connection with an April 7 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face.

Gerald B. Gillespie, 33, Shipman, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a March 1 incident in which he allegedly delivered a check for $25.05 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing his bank would not honor the draft.

Jessica L. Gibbs, 34, Palmyra, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a May 10 incident in which she allegedly knowingly transmitted a false report to the Macoupin County 911 dispatcher in that she called 911, provided an address and said “please hurry” without the reasonable grounds necessary to believe that transmitting such a report was necessary for the safety and welfare of the public.

Monica J. Carmel, 32, Carlinville, has been charged with battery in connection with a May 10 incident in which she allegedly punched an individual in the face with a closed fist.

Destiny Weller, 35, of Carlinville has been charged with 11 counts of deceptive practices in connection with March 19-20 incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks for $41.48, $28, $28, $26.40, $35, $35, $35, $30, $28, $35 and $10.50 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing her bank would not honor the drafts.

Jerad Q. Grady, 30, Decatur, has been charged with reckless conduct in connection with a May 12 incident in which he allegedly pulled his vehicle out of the parking lot of Showtime Lanes, Virden, running over an individual’s foot.

Mark K. McGhee, 31, Staunton, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a May 12 incident in which he allegedly threw an individual into a bathtub.

DUI

Rajeev K. Goswami, 45, Naperville, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of illegal transportation of alcohol in connection with a May 8 incident in which he allegedly drove a silver 2010 Toyota in the parking lot of Route 138 Cafe, Mt. Olive.
