Lawsuits

Stephen Webster filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer March 21 against Barbara Pocklington and unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Carlinville and $652 rent, plus other costs and damages.

Ronald LaPlante Sr. filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer March 26 against Ronald LaPlante Jr., seeking possession of property in Carlinville.

James and Lisa Tiepelman filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer March 26 against Melisa Welch, seeking possession of property in Mt. Olive and $2,082.73 rent.

Tim Loveless filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer March 26 against Stephen L. and Amanda K. King, seeking possession of property in Wilsonville, $750 rent and costs of the suit.

Crown Asset Management, LLC, filed a complaint March 26 against Richard L. Garbin, seeking $10,821.79 unpaid on a charge account and/or line of credit, plus court costs.

Calvert Chapels LTD filed a complaint March 27 against Cheryl L. Janakus, seeking $10,430.78 unpaid for the funeral and burial of Mildred Lucille Gibson, plus interest, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs of the suit.

Felonies

James D. Ternaprovich, 33, Alton, has been charged with obstructing a peace officer in connection with a March 7 incident in which he allegedly forcibly pushed against an officer, causing the officer to fall and strike his head.

Jeremy L. Cashen, 41, Palmyra, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a March 7 incident.

Michelle Y. Pocklington, now 52, Carlinville, has been charged with three counts of disorderly conduct for transmitting reports to police departments that crimes had been committed, knowing at the time of the transmissions that there were no reasonable grounds to believe that such offenses had been committed: battery on March 7 to Carlinville Police Department, aggravated assault on Feb. 3 to Mt. Olive Police Department, and aggravated assault on Jan. 27 to Mt. Olive Police Department.

Chase R. Clark, 21, Caseyville, has been charged with burglary and theft in connection with a March 19 incident in which he allegedly entered an individual’s 2000 Oldsmobile Alero with the intent to commit a theft and exerted unauthorized control over the individual’s darts.

Atlantis K. Davis, now 31, Aurora, Colo., has been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis (more than 100 grams but less than 500 grams) in connection with a June 24, 2017, incident.

Jessie D. Walker, 46, Royal Lakes, has been charged with aggravated fleeing or eluding a police officer in connection with a March 9 incident in which he allegedly fled a police officer after being given a visual and audible signal, and such flight caused more than $300 damage to a Greenfield Police Department squad car.

James L. Ditch, 62, Gillespie, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing FUB-AMB) in connection with a Feb. 14 incident.

Tracy M. Price, now 32, Girard, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a Jan. 13 incident.

Laura L. Doolittle, 52, Alton, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Feb. 17 incident in which she allegedly drove a 2007 Dodge SUV at the intersection of Maple Street and Vine Street in Brighton.

Misdemeanors

Christopher J. Smith, 30, Carlinville, has been charged with obstructing a peace officer in connection with a March 9 incident in which he allegedly fled from a traffic stop after being commanded to stop. He was also charged with driving while license suspended.

Jamie J. Lowrance, now 41, Carlinville, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a Nov. 29, 2016, incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $189 to Carlinville Band Boosters, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Rebecca R. Welsh, 43, Girard, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a Sept. 18, 2017, incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $54.87 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Trisha L. Kester, 39, Benld, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a Feb. 21 incident in which she allegedly took batteries valued at less than $300 from Family Dollar in Benld.

Christyl E. Siar, 31, Carlinville, has been charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a Jan. 25 incident in which she allegedly entered onto an individual’s property in the 400 block of North West Street, Carlinville, after previously being notified by an officer that she was not allowed to enter onto said property.

Alexandra P. Burleson, 19, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis in connection with a Feb. 6 incident.

Kyle J. Ditch, 29, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of more than 30 grams but less than 100 grams of a substance containing cannabis in connection with a Feb. 14 incident.

Jade N. Donaldson, 27, Girard, has been charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a Feb. 25 incident in which she allegedly entered onto an individual’s property in the 200 block of West Center Street, Girard, after being previously notified by the owner that she was not allowed to enter onto said property.

Craig A. Swify, now 34, Carlinville, has been charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a Feb. 25 incident in which she allegedly entered onto an individual’s property in the 1000 block of Crittenden, Carlinville, after being previously notified by the owner that he was not allowed to enter onto said property.

Pamela A. Hausman, 48, Plainview, has been charged with violation of a stalking/no contact order in connection with a March 18 incident in which she allegedly made intentionally made contact with a protected party by sending a Facebook friend request.

Jack L. Crissey Sr., 61, Virden, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a March 22 incident in which he allegedly was within 500 feet of a protected place.

DUIs

James E. Saul Jr., 57, Alton, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of improper turn at intersection and driving 11-14 mph above the limit (41 mph in a 30 mph zone) in connection with a March 2 incident in which he allegedly drove a silver 2007 Ford truck at the intersection of Maple and Vine streets in Brighton.

Evangelina M. Garcia, 27, Gillespie, has been charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, following too closely and failure to dim headlights in connection with a March 16 incident in which she allegedly drove a blue 2013 Honda on Route 16 east of Henderson Road, northeast of Gillespie.

Blake K. Streeb, 25, Mt. Olive, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of illegal transportation of alcohol and driving 21-25 mph above the limit (93 mph in a 70 mph zone) in connection with a March 21 incident in which he allegedly drove a maroon/burgundy 2003 Dodge truck on Interstate 55 northbound at milepost 47.5.
