Lawsuits

Patricia Wankel filed a complaint March 14 against Marion Scoggins, seeking an amount in excess of $50,000 for fraud in the inducement and unjust enrichment regarding the purchase of property at 22904 Route 111, Hettick; that the court impose a constructive trust with respect to the real estate and determine the parties’ respective interest in the trust; attorney’s fees; and costs of the suit.

R&E Buildings, LLC, filed a complaint March 19 against Michael P. Gwillim, seeking immediate possession of all barn-building materials for the construction of two barns, for which no payment has been made.

First Investors Servicing Corporation filed a complaint May 13 against Chris D. Robinson, seeking possession of a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe, value of property not delivered, and damages for the detention; $18,695.99 unpaid on a retail investment contract for said vehicle; $350 in attorney’s fees; and costs.

Tim Loveless filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer March 14 against Harold M. Walker, seeking possession of property in Benld, $695.22 rent and costs of the suit.

Felonies

Tracy L. Brady, 37, Gillespie, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a March 10 incident.

Travis M. West, 20, Standard City, has been charged with unlawful failure to register as a sex offender in connection with a March 2 incident in which he allegedly failed to update his address with the Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department after being gone from his residence for more than three days.

Matthew W. Howard, 35, Virden, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a March 12 incident. He was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, obstructed window (rear) and expired registration.

Travis J. Bramley, 35, Modesto, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a March 13 incident. He was also charged with failure to signal at a proper distance and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Luther R. Kimes, 19, Springfield, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than five grams of a substance containing cocaine) with intent to deliver in connection with a March 13 incident.

Donald W. King Jr., 40, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing FUB-AMB) in connection with a Feb. 19 incident.

Derek D. Rexford, 31, Staunton, has been charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a Feb. 15 incident in which he allegedly caused more than $500 but less than $10,000 damage to concrete belonging to Circle K.

Bruce O. Zollicoffer, 43, Royal Lakes, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine) in connection with a March 16 incident.

Misdemeanors

Jason L. Morgan, 29, Carlinville, has been charged with domestic battery and resisting a peace officer in connection with a March 3 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with his fist, refused lawful commands to surrender himself and had to be tasered before being taken into custody.

David W. Crooks, 46, Bunker Hill, has been charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a March 10 incident in which he allegedly remained within the building commonly known as Sage House at 129 East Warren Street, Bunker Hill, after being notified by an officer that he must leave the establishment.

Nicole L. Mitchell, 28, Shipman, has been charged with criminal trespass to railroad property in connection with a March 2 incident in which she allegedly walked along the right-of-way of Union Pacific Railroad near Piasa Road at a place other than a public crossing.

Tammy J. Graham, 51, Medora, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a March 4 incident in which she allegedly yelled at an individual after coming onto his property.

Jessica R. Tanksley, 32, Mt. Olive, has been charged with theft in connection with a Feb. 7 incident in which she allegedly exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s jewelry.

John T. Tanner, 29, Alton, has been charged with obstructing a peace officer in connection with a March 17 incident in which he allegedly fled from an officer after being given a lawful command to stop.

DUIs

Erin K. McGartland, 37, Carlinville, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of failure to reduce speed in connection with a Feb. 21 incident in which she allegedly drove a black 2016 Jeep in the 100 block of East First South Street, Carlinville.

Melissa A. Baglin, 43, Gillespie, has been charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a stop sign in connection with a March 8 incident in which she allegedly drove a silver 2012 Chevrolet SUV at the intersection of Montgomery and Chestnut streets in Gillespie.

Jazmarie Silva, 26, Montgomery, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence in connection with a Dec. 22 incident in which she allegedly drove a white 2014 Dodge at the intersection of North Broad and Broadway streets in Carlinville.

Kathleen J. Sauls, 28, Highland, has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a March 2 incident in which she allegedly drove a maroon 2004 Pontiac at the intersection of Alton and Washington streets in Bunker Hill.

Corey B. Hayes, 32, Bunker Hill, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of improper lane usage and driving 11-15 mph above the limit (43 mph in a 30 mph zone) in connection with a March 10 incident in which he allegedly drove a white 2007 Dodge Ram at the intersection of Broadway and LJ Avenue in Gillespie.

Joseph L. Brackett, 52, Taylor Springs has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a March 17 incident in which he allegedly drove a silver 2002 Chevrolet at the intersection of Route 138 and Stemme Street in Wilsonville.
