Lawsuits

Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation filed a complaint for replevin Feb. 23 against BK Jackson Bulldozing and Excavating Inc., Benjamin K. Jackson and Lisa McMullan, seeking possession of a tractor, backhoe loader and two hydraulic excavators in connection with an unpaid promissory note, plus attorney’s fees and costs, with said equipment to be sold, any amount still owed to be repaid to the plaintiff and any surplus to be repaid to the defendants.

Consumer Collection Management filed a complaint Feb. 21 against Jeff and Teresa Eavns, seeking $15,265.42 unpaid on medical services, plus costs of the suit.

Bank of America, N.A., filed a complaint Feb. 22 against Shari L. Steward, seeking $15,106.70 unpaid on a credit account.

Jerrie Wallace filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 23 against Adam R. Wallace, seeking possession of property in Virden, $4,800 rent, costs of suit and reasonable attorney’s fees.

Lewis Hancock filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 24 against Tara H. and Jake Provaznik, seeking possession of property in Bunker Hill, $3,200 rent, costs and damages.

Rachel Cassella filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 27 against Myron Marshall, seeking possession of property in Shipman.

Ruth Loveless filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 27 against Jordan Trimm and Kourtney Claro, seeking possession of property in Benld, $814 rent, costs of suit and prorated rent.

Felonies

Joshua L. Nurdin, 25, Mt. Olive, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a Jan. 24 incident.

Brandon C. Lackey, 24, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Feb. 19 incident.

Warren E. Copeland, 32, Cottage Hills, has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with a Feb. 2 incident in which he allegedly knowingly possessed a white 2016 Chevy Silverado belonging to Bruckert Daley and a 2012 Ford F150 belonging to an individual, knowing them to have been stolen.

Andrea M. Register, 32, Virden, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a Feb. 22 incident. She was also charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.

Misdemeanors

Alyssa N. Kilian, 23, Carlinville, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Feb. 19 incident in which she allegedly struck an individual in the face with an open hand.

Christopher Ogden, now 22, Plainview, has been charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle in connection with a Feb. 21 incident in which he allegedly knowingly and without authority operated an individual’s 1996 Buick sedan.

Earl T. Brown, 45, Benld, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a Feb. 17 incident in which he allegedly sent a text message to the cell phone of a protected person.

Janice E. McGhee, 50, Hamel, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with an Oct. 23 incident in which he allegedly delivered a check for $105.35 to Bill’s IGA, knowing his bank would not honor the draft.

Shane J. Lomelino, 34, Palmyra, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Feb. 20 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the jaw with a closed fist.

Sebastian S. Nessl, 22, Mt. Olive, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Feb. 22 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual by the throat.

Diahnte K. Garrett, 22, Chicago, has been charged with unlawful possession of more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis in connection with a Feb. 15 incident.

Christina G. Harbaugh, 39, Carlinville, has been charged with illegal sale of tobacco to a minor in connection with a Feb. 11 incident in which she allegedly sold tobacco products to a minor at Casey’s General Store, Carlinville.

James D. Gipson, 18, Mt. Olive, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Feb. 20 incident in which he allegedly consumed beer and had a blood alcohol content level of 0.242.

Jonathan M. Kirkwood, 20, Benld, has been charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle in connection with a Feb. 24 incident in which he allegedly operated an individual’s silver 2000 Ford four-door car without authority.
