Lawsuits

CHS Inc. filed a complaint June 28 against Ron Pruitt Trucking Inc., seeking $85,886.98 unpaid on an account, plus 0.5 percent per month finance charges accruing each month after June 30, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.

Phase 3 Corp. filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer June 27 against Allan Schreier, Alexandria Van Hooser and unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Staunton and $518 rent, plus late fees accruing through the date of trial and costs of the suit.

Candice K. Anschutz and Lee Ann Caruso, co-administrators of the estate of Heather Sue Stayton, deceased, filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer June 28 against Amanda Featherstone and Pete Robbins, seeking possession of property in Gillespie and costs of the suit.

Bellm Apartments filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer June 29 against Rodney E. Johnson and unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Carlinville and $1,350 rent, plus costs and damages.

Discover Bank filed a complaint June 30 against Sara E. Crook, seeking $11,992.42 unpaid on a credit account, plus court costs.

Felonies

Steven W. Montgomery, 46, Naples, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a Kime 15 incident.

John E. Dusenbery, 44, Carlinville, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a June 15 incident.

Christopher J. Gibbs, 34, Nilwood, has been charged with unlawful failure to register as a sex offender in connection with a May 24 incident in which he allegedly failed to update his address with the Macoupin County State’s Attorney’s Office after being at a new residence for more than three days.

Phillip M. Seabolt, 41, Virden, has been charged with disarming a peace officer, two counts of aggravated battery and criminal damage to state-supported property in connection with a June 21 incident in which he allegedly attempted to take a weapon from an officer, pushed the officer, bit another officer, and caused less than $500 damage to a body camera belonging to the city of Virden.

Allen J. Wheeler, 31, Chesterfield, has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon in connection with a June 21 incident in which he allegedly possessed a Good Times Outdoors Core 15 AR15 rifle. He was also charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a June 28 incident in which he allegedly was within 500 feet of a protected place.

Maurice J. Means, 46, Decatur, has been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis (more than 100 grams but less than 500 grams) in connection with a June 24 incident.

Eric A. Rogers, 25, Farmersville, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a June 24 incident in which he allegedly used a knife to cut an individual on the arm.

Donald W. King Jr., 39, Carlinville, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a May 25 incident.

Heather N. Wadlow, 28, Staunton, has been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis (more than 100 grams but less than 500 grams)  in connection with a June 30 incident.

Nicholas T. Bond, 32, Staunton, has been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis (more than 100 grams but less than 500 grams)  in connection with a June 30 incident.

Misdemeanors

Michael J. Hedden Jr., 30, Gillespie, has been charged with domestic battery and criminal trespass to a residence in connection with a June 24 incident in which he allegedly threw an individual onto a bed and held the individual down, and entered a residence without authority.

Jeromy S. Schuessler, 34, Mt. Olive, has been charged with resisting a peace officer in connection with a June 26 incident in which he allegedly pulled away from an officer and refused to allow the officer to place handcuffs on him.

Bobbie S. Cheek, 29, Girard, has been charged with illegal dumping of garbage in connection with a June 22 incident in which she allegedly dumped garbage, saying it fell from her vehicle and she failed to pick it up.

Jesse A. Scroggins, 38, Bunker Hill, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a June 8 incident in which he allegedly took a bottle of Mike’s Hard Lemonade, valued at less than $500, from Short Stop gas station in Bunker Hill.

Kui I. Liou, 54, Collinsville, has been charged with battery and criminal damage to property in connection with an incident in which she allegedly struck an individual’s face with an open hand and caused less than $500 damage to a window of Bamboo Garden.

DUIs

Michael A. Jones, 26, Girard, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of improper lane usage in connection with a June 10 incident in which he allegedly drove a blue 2007 Ford truck on Farmersville Road at Ball Road, west of Girard.

Adam R. Gaffney, 25, Litchfield, has been charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage in connection with a June 16 incident in which he allegedly drove a red 2001 GMC truck on Route 4 at South Country Club Lane, Carlinville.

James E. Wilson, 54, Carlinville, has been charged with driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license and avoiding a traffic control device in connection with a June 17 incident in which he allegedly drove a silver 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle on West Main at Chiles, Carlinville.
