Lawsuits

Otter Lake Water Commission filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 11 against Ron and Anna Polistina, seeking possession of property on the Otter Lake Campground; orders allowing OLWC to move the Polistinas’ trailer off the lot and to a storage fee (with the Polistinas responsible for moving and storing charges) and allowing OLWC to remove and dispose of any structures or personal property remaining on the premises; $172.03 for an unpaid electric bill; and $500 for attorney’s fees.

LaVern and Carole Rose filed a complaint for eviction Feb. 14 against Kaylia Edmiston and unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Chesterfield and $800 rent.

Cornerstone TL, Inc., filed a complaint for eviction Feb. 15 against Josh N. Howland, Amber R. Truhlicka and any unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Gillespie, rent and other charges in the amount of $2,490.21, court costs, attorney’s fees and costs of service.

Carlinville Area Hospital filed a complaint Feb. 15 against Shannon L. Meyer, seeking $12,038.73 unpaid for medical services, plus costs of the suit.

First National Bank of Omaha filed a complaint Feb. 19 against Gregory H. Reiman, seeking $22,401.44 unpaid on a loan, plus costs and disbursements.

Felonies

Terri E. Brackett, 30, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Nov. 11, 2018, incident.

Austin M. Weatherford, 21, Carlinville, has been charged with theft in connection with a Jan. 22 incident in which he allegedly took an individual’s Playstation 4, valued at less than $500.

Brittany N. Pollard, 33, Litchfield, has been charged with forgery in connection with a Jan. 5 incident in which she allegedly made a check dated Jan. 5, payable to TJ’s in the amount of $80.38, signed as another individual.

Franklin D. Powell Jr., 36, Venice, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Jan. 27 incident in which he allegedly drove a 2003 Chevrolet on Interstate 55 near milepost 43.

Herman V. Cole, 34, Carlinville, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a Feb. 10 incident in which he allegedly shoved a peace officer in the chest.

Steven W. Foster, now 65, Mt. Olive, has been charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (a substance containing methadone) in connection with a July 19, 2018, incident.

Justin C. Grider, 36, Carlinville, has been charged with meth possession (more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams) in connection with a Feb. 11 incident.

Aaron E. Elston, 21, Girard, has been charged with unlawful restraint in connection with a Feb. 12 incident in which he allegedly detained an individual without legal authority, in that he whipped the individual’s feet, held a knife to the individual’s throat and would not allow the individual to leave the residence.

Brittany N. Stinnett, 28, Cottage Hills, has been charged with bringing contraband into a penal institution in connection with a Dec. 8, 2018, incident in which she allegedly brought meth into Macoupin County Jail.

Rahman S. Henson, 37, Dieterich, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Jan. 18 incident in which he allegedly drove a 2004 Honda Odyssey on Interstate 55 at the Mt. Olive exit. He was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving 15-20 mph above the limit (86 mph in a 70 mph zone).

Timothy R. Garrett, 40, Brighton, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Jan. 19 incident in which he allegedly drove a 2002 Ford Taurus on Maple Street in Brighton.

Phillip J. Wheeler, 58, Carlinville, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Jan. 17 incident in which he allegedly drove a 2007 Dodge on Route 267 near Prairie Dell Road, south of Piasa.

Alie B. Smith, 40, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a Nov. 12, 2018, incident.

Ashley M. Garrett, 32, Chatham, has been charged with non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images and criminal trespass to residence in connection with a Jan. 30 incident in which she allegedly intentionally and without consent disseminated an image in which a person at least 18 years of age is identifiable with their genitalia exposed and knowingly and without authority entered another individual’s residence in the 100 block of Park Avenue, Gillespie, knowing one or more persons were present.

Dannie R. Kelley Jr., 42, Virden, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a Nov. 6, 2018, incident.

Misdemeanors

Austin W. Johnson, 21, Girard, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Feb. 9 incident in which he allegedly hit an individual in the face with his shoe.

Jesse R. McCarver, 37, Carlinville, has been charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a Feb. 10 incident in which he allegedly caused less than $300 damage to an individual’s door.

Robert R. Cagle, 55, Bunker Hill, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Feb. 9 incident in which he allegedly chest-bumped an individual and hit the individual with his fist.

Jasmine E. Crane, 21, Carlinville, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Feb. 14 incident in which she allegedly threatened an individual while holding a kitchen knife.

Robert A. Sanson, 28, Gillespie, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a Feb. 14 incident in which he allegedly made contact with a protected party by calling the person’s place of employment.

Wendy L. Broderick, 51, Gillespie, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a July 2, 2018, incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $31.44 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Joanne T. Mussatto, 46, Staunton, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with an Aug. 18, 2018, incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $36.66 to Bill’s IGA, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Anthony S. Brigance, 48, Cahokia, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a June 30, 2018, incident in which he allegedly delivered a check for $900 to Royer Excavating, knowing his bank would not honor the draft.

John J. Sanders, 18, Carlinville, has been charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a Feb. 14 incident in which he allegedly caused less than $300 damage to the windows of an individual’s silver Ford.

Tiffany M. Middleton, 25, Carlinville, has been charged with four counts of deceptive practices in connection with July 1-8, 2018, incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks for $50, $50, $50 and $40 to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing her bank would not honor the drafts.

DUIs

Brent D. Anderson, 33, Alhambra, has been charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed and operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device in connection with a Feb. 1 incident in which he allegedly drove a green 2006 Chevrolet truck on Interstate 55 at milepost 41.

Ashlee N. Jarman, 31, Gillespie, has been charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed in connection with a Feb. 9 incident in which she allegedly drove a white 2005 Jeep on Route 4 north of Staunton-Bunker Hill Road in Staunton Township.
