Teresa Crum filed a complaint Jan. 27 against Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States John I. Meyer Post 1104 and Gregory McKinney, seeking an amount in excess of $50,000 from each defendant in connection with a Nov. 7, 2015, incident in which she allegedly slipped and fell on a staircase at the VFW.

Bennie and Larry Secor filed a complaint Feb. 9 against Billy J. Malloy, seeking an amount in excess of $50,000 in connection with a Dec. 23, 2016 automobile accident.

Tim Loveless filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 7 against John Sanders, seeking possession of property in Benld and $3,351 rent.

Roy E. Davis Sr. filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 14 against Melisa Reed and James Branham, seeking possession of property in Carlinville, $3,450 rent, court costs and damages.

Maria Thurm filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 14 against Jeremy Chaikowsky and Tayler Theadgill, seeking possession of property in Plainview and $4,500 rent.

Larry Baker Jr. filed a complaint in replevin Feb. 14 against Tabitha Eichen, seeking possession of two televisions, a surround sound system, DirecTV equipment, a baseball card collection and any other personal documents, with a combined total value estimated at $1,500.

Ruth Loveless filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Feb. 14 against Adam Daniels and other occupants, seeking possession of property in Wilsonville, rent and water bill of $1,016.78, and legal fees.

Felonies

Stormy Ray, now 31, Staunton, has been charged with two counts of escape in connection with a Feb. 2 incident in which she allegedly failed to report to Macoupin County Jail for transmittal to the Department of Corrections.

Tim W. Jackson, 43, Roxana, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing hydrocodone) and unlawful use of weapons in connection with a Dec. 31 incident in which he allegedly possessed a Remington R51 9mm pistol within his vehicle when not on his own land, abode, legal dwelling or fixed place of business or on the land or legal dwelling of another person as an invitee, and while the pistol was not broken down into a nonfunctioning state; was not in a location that was not immediately accessible; was not unloaded and enclosed in a case, firearm, carrying box, shipping box or other container by a person who has been issued a valid FOID card; and was not possessed in accordance with the Illinois Concealed Carry Act by a person with a valid concealed carry license.

Michael R. Pitman, 30, Palmyra, has been charged with participation in meth manufacturing in connection with a Feb. 4 incident in which he allegedly knowingly participated in the manufacturing of more than 100 grams but less than 400 grams of meth or a substance containing meth.

Joshua R. Thiessen, 31, Litchfield, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Feb. 6 incident.

Amber N. Robbins, 28, Benld, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Feb. 6 incident.

Walter R. Holmes, 40, Wilsonville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Feb. 6 incident.

Kevin E. Mateer, 46, Palmyra, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Feb. 6 incident.

Jamil W. Gibbs, 33, Cahokia, has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful use of weapons and unlawful possession of a controlled substance in connection with a Feb. 9 incident in which he allegedly possessed a 9mm Taurus and less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine and knowingly carried said pistol in his vehicle when not in his own land, abode, dwelling or business or the land or dwelling of another as an invitee, and that pistol was immediately accessible to him. He was also charged with having tinted front side windows and a defective windshield (cracked).

Misdemeanors

Jacob N. Thomas, 29, Staunton, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a Feb. 5 incident in which he allegedly came within 500 feet of a protected location.

Carlos B. Martinez, now 27, Staunton, has been charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a Jan. 8 incident in which he allegedly remained upon an individual’s land in the 200 block of Duda Lane, Staunton, after receiving notice to depart.

Courtney N. Leonard, 25, Mt. Olive, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Jan. 29 incident in which she allegedly slapped an individual with an open hand on the left side of the individual’s face.

Edward M. Rappel, 38, Brighton, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a Feb. 6 incident in which he allegedly called a protected party on the person’s cell phone.

Matthew D. Allen, 36, Gillespie, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a Jan. 19 incident in which he allegedly took candy valued at less than $300 from Jumpin’ Jimmy’s in Bunker Hill.

John A. Perkins, 25, Benld, has been charged with obstructing a peace officer in connection with a Feb. 8 incident in which he allegedly refused to vacate a residence upon the order of an officer investigating a domestic disturbance.

Karson D. Hayes, 18, Maumelle, Ark., has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Jan. 29 incident.

Stan L. Burney, 29, Wood River, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a Nov. 29 incident in which he allegedly took sunglasses valued at less than $300 from Short Stop in Bunker Hill.

DUIs

Ilija M. Dragisic, 61, Elmhurst, has been charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage in connection with a Jan. 21 incident in which he allegedly drove a red 2006 Kenworth truck tractor on Interstate 55 southbound at milepost 41.

Jean M. Johnson, 58, Staunton, has been charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver and failure to stop at a stop sign in connection with a Feb. 2 incident in which she allegedly drove a green 2000 Honda on Reservoir Road at Bono Road, Staunton.

Jason M. Hargis, 21, Bunker Hill, has been charged with driving under the influence, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage in connection with a Jan. 31 incident in which he allegedly drove a red 2000 Ford on Seminary at Union, Bunker Hill.

Jeffrey A. Helvey, 31, Gillespie, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of improper lane usage and having no valid driver’s license in connection with a Feb. 5 incident in which he allegedly drove a red 1992 Jeep on Three Mile Road southwest of Gillespie.

Melissa C. May, 25, Waterloo, has been charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage in connection with a Feb. 3 incident in which she allegedly drove a blue 2005 Dodge on Staunton Road at Herman Road, east of Staunton.

Kathy S. Conner, 56, Gillespie, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of failure to drive on the right side of the roadway in connection with a Feb. 3 incident in which she allegedly drove a white 2000 Chevrolet at the intersection of Maple and Fulton streets, Gillespie.
