Lawsuits

Jody Mundy filed a complaint May 1 against Nina Suttles in connection with a Dec. 22, 2015, automobile accident, seeking an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of the suit.

Macoupin County Housing Authority filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer April 27 against Marlena Weiseman, seeking possession of property in Bunker Hill; rent, late charges and/or other monies due and owing; reasonable attorney’s fees; and court costs.

Brian Hopper filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer May 1 against Morgan Allen, seeking possession of property in Carlinville.

Discover Bank filed a complaint May 2 against Vicki A. McCann, seeking $17,027.33 unpaid on a credit card account, plus costs.

Citizens Bank, N.A., filed a complaint May 2 against John W. Martin, seeking $15,940.70 unpaid on a retail installment contract, plus court costs.

Felonies

Monteaz E. Walton, 35, Carlinville, has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of mob action in connection with an April 23 incident in which he allegedly struck two individuals in the head with a deadly weapon (a baseball bat) and knowingly, by use of force, disturbed the public peace in that he, while acting together with two others and without authority of law, struck an individual about the face and head with their hands and fists, thereby inflicting injury.

Theodore M. Holmes, 46, Palmyra, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with an April 13 incident in which he allegedly drove a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic on Main Street at Elder Street, Palmyra. He was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving 21-25 mph above the limit (58 mph in a 35 mph zone).

Julie M. Bridgeman, now 38, Mt. Olive, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing FUBINACA) in connection with a May 25, 2016, incident.

Stewart N. Wilson, 32, Girard, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with an April 24 incident in which he allegedly came within 500 feet of a protected party.

Clinton N. Sanders, 33, Gillespie, has been charged with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct with a laser pointer in connection with an April 28 incident in which he allegedly picked an officer up off the ground in a bear hug and aimed an operating laser pointer at the officer.

Alicia N. Tamosaitis, 20, Girard, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with an April 28 incident.

Misdemeanors

Anel Berisa, 20, Staunton, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a March 26 incident in which he allegedly yelled at and threatened to kill an individual. He was also charged with driving 15-20 mph above the limit (70 mph in a 55 mph zone), failure to wear a  seat belt and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Kara L. Honaker, 25, Carlinville, has been charged with retail theft in connection with an April 10 incident in which she allegedly took a purse and cosmetics with a total value of less than $500 from Carlinville Walmart.

Dillon M. Dixon, 18, Edwardsville, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with an April 15 incident.

John J. Sanders, 43, Benld, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an April 25 incident in which he allegedly yelled at an individual.

Shane M. Boston, 36, Eagarville, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with an April 26 incident in which he allegedly made in-person contact with a protected party by going to the individual’s residence and speaking to the individual.

DUIs

Alexandria J. Yudinski, 24, Carlinville, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of failure to reduce speed in connection with an April 21 incident in which she allegedly drove a blue 2013 Hyundai on East First South Street at Hoch Street, Carlinville.

Jacob E. Byers, 26, Staunton, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol in connection with an April 22 incident in which he allegedly drove a white 2013 Kia Optima at the intersection of Staunton Road and Charles Street, Gillespie.
