Lawsuits

Jencore, LLC, filed a complaint Dec. 7 against Ray F. Landers, Billie S. Landers and The Landers Children Family, LLC, seeking $31,547,781.07, plus costs, on an unpaid promissory note. The suit alleges no payments have been made on the $400,000 promissory note, which has a 14 percent annual interest rate, since the note was executed on Aug. 30, 1984.

First National Bank of Omaha filed a complaint Dec. 11 against Sean R. Brown, seeking $14,466.09 unpaid on a credit card account, plus costs.

Roy Davis Sr. filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Dec. 12 against Belinda Le, Erin Le and Austin Cram, seeking possession of property in Carlinville, $950 rent, back water bill, damages and court costs.

Brandon Rull filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Dec. 12 against Tara Billings, seeking possession of property in Staunton, rent and costs of the suit.

Felonies

Joseph W. Pfeiler, 39, Divernon, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth, failure to signal at a proper distance and driving while license suspended in connection with a Dec. 6 incident.

Ryan D. Beck, 30, Worden, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth and aggravated unlawful use of weapons in connection with a Dec. 6 incident in which he allegedly carried in his vehicle an uncased, loaded and immediately accessible .22 caliber Marlin Firearms Co. Model 60 rifle, while on the property of Moto Mart in Gillespie. He was also charged with illegal transportation of alcohol.

Benjamin L. Long, now 34, Mt. Olive, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing FUB-AMB) in connection with a July 19 incident.

Johnny D. Taylor, 38, Greenville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing FUB-AMB) in connection with a July 19 incident.

Misdemeanors

Lamont C. Alberty, 18, Hillsboro, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Nov. 25 incident in which he reportedly consumed Fireball and had a blood alcohol content level of 0.046.

Dakota G. Stone, 20, Carlinville, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and driving while license suspended in connection with a Nov. 17 incident.

Randall W. Bersch, 59, Carlinville, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Dec. 1 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with a closed fist.

Kendell Kelly, 25, Edwardsville, has been charged with unlawful use of weapons in connection with an Oct. 15 incident in which he allegedly possessed in his vehicle a Glock .45 caliber pistol at a time when he was not on his own land or in his own abode, legal dwelling or fixed place of business or on the land or legal dwelling of another person as an invitee; and while said pistol was not broken down into a nonfunctioning state, was not in a location that was not immediately accessible and was not unloaded and enclosed in a case, firearm carrying box, shipping box or other container by a person who has been issued a valid FOID card.

Kyle T. Best, 34, Edwardsville, has been charged with criminal trespass to a residence in connection with a Dec. 5 incident in which he allegedly entered  an individual’s residence in the 300 block of South Harrison, Girard, without authority.

Jack L. Crissey Sr., 61, Virden, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Dec. 6 incident in which he allegedly yelled at and threatened to kill an individual.

Jeffrey D. Heigert Jr., 29, Bunker Hill, has been charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle in connection with an Oct. 1 incident in which he allegedly knowingly operated an individual’s red 1997 Dodge Dakota truck without authority.

James E. Morgan, 35, Carlinville, has been charged with obstructing a peace officer in connection with a Nov. 23 incident in which he allegedly ran from an officer.

Michael L. Dobson, 24, Shipman, has been charged with theft in connection with a Nov. 6 incident in which he allegedly obtained control over an individual’s medication valued at less than $500.

Lawrence G. Luebbert, 29, Jacksonville, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a Nov. 1 incident in which he allegedly took one bottle of wine valued at less than $150 from Carl’s IGA.

Sonny J. Carter, 42, Bunker Hill, has been charged with theft in connection with an Oct. 25 incident in which he allegedly exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s four tires and rims.

DUIs

Daryl L. Sandfort, 50, Des Plaines, has been charged with driving under the influence and improper stopping on roadway in connection with a Nov. 25 incident in which he allegedly drove a black 2012 Nissan truck on Beaver at North Charles, Carlinville.

Joseph B. Seketa, 50, Staunton, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of improper parking on roadway in connection with a Nov. 25 incident in which he allegedly drove a white 2007 Chevrolet truck on Adden Road near Tall Timber Road, south of Mt. Olive.

Jasmine D. Jackson, 38, Troy, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of failure to reduce speed and disobeying a stop sign in connection with a Nov. 25 incident in which she allegedly drove a white 2017 Dodge truck on Route 16 at Route 159, Royal Lakes.
