Lawsuits

Bernie Elking filed a complaint for eviction Dec. 4 against Cara Edwards and Joe Lindsey, seeking possession of property in Carlinville and $1,635 rent.

Linda E. Thaxton filed a complaint Dec. 6 against Hardee’s Restaurants LLC and Hardee’s Food Systems LLC in connection with an Oct. 10, 2017, incident in which she allegedly slipped on an unknown substance on the floor of Hardee’s in Staunton and fell, suffering injuries including a concussion, headaches and low back and hip injury. She seeks an amount in excess of $15,000 but less than $50,000, plus costs.

James and Kelly Patterson filed a complaint for eviction Dec. 7 against Alice M. Ehlers, seeking possession of property in Alton (Brighton Township) and $700 rent.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Dec. 10 against Laci Greenwalt and Michael DeBose, seeking possession of property in Virden and $2,361 for rent, late fees, attorney’s fees and costs.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Dec. 10 against Charles and Randi Sampson, seeking possession of property in Virden and $2,293 for rent, attorney’s fees, costs and service.

Felonies

Michael T. Mitchusson, 26, Girard, has been charged with three counts of escape in connection with Nov. 16, 23 and 30 incidents in which he allegedly failed to report to Macoupin County Jail when ordered to do so.

Quinton P. Bristow, 23, Palmyra, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a Sept. 26 incident.

Gloria E. Schafer, 47, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing FUB-AMB) in connection with a Sept. 23 incident.

James T. Lindsey, 42, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a Sept. 21 incident.

Christopher J. Ballard, 31, Plainview, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing fentanyl) in connection with an Oct. 1 incident.

Ashley E. Matthews, 27, Keenes, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a Sept. 17 incident.

Brandon L. Golbricht, now 25, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with an Aug. 9 incident.

Bob E. Hughes, 60, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a Sept. 27 incident.

Misty W. Rice, 42, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with an Aug. 30 incident.

Kody D. Holt, 28, Staunton, has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and aggravated fleeing and eluding in connection with a Dec. 6 incident in which he allegedly possessed a Chevrolet van, knowing it to have been stolen, and drove said van west on Route 138, attempting to elude a uniformed peace officer driving a marked police vehicle, after being signaled to stop by red and blue oscillating lights, and exceeded 21 mph over the legal speed limit.

Misdemeanors

Alando P. Harris, 24, St. Louis, Mo., has been charged with three counts of escape in connection with Nov. 9, 16 and 30 incidents in which he allegedly failed to report to Macoupin County Jail when ordered to do so.

Jessie J. Waugh, 38, Gillespie, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Dec. 4 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with his hand.

David K. Grider, 59, Auburn, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with an Oct. 3 incident in which he allegedly delivered a check for $1,100 to Freedom Chevrolet, knowing his bank would not honor the draft.

John E. Young, 55, Palmyra, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with a May 5 incident in which he allegedly delivered a check for $2,279 to Midway Trailer Sales, knowing his bank would not honor the draft.

Cecilia M. Pitchford, now 59, Gillespie, has been charged with two counts of deceptive practices in connection with a Sept. 26 incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $393.85 to Carl’s IGA and an Aug. 15 incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $244.84 to Randy’s Market, knowing her bank would not honor the drafts.

Patricia L. Ridens, 53, New Douglas, has been charged with two counts of deceptive practices in connection with Aug. 9 and 10 incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks for $113.27 and $167.24, respectively, to Randy’s Market, knowing her bank would not honor the drafts.

Tina M. Kohart, 44, Virden, has been charged with two counts of deceptive practices in connection with Oct. 16 and 17 incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks for $96.34 and $100, respectively, to Joseph F. Boente and Sons, knowing her bank would not honor the drafts.

Cole Y. Waugh, 35, Benld, has been charged with two counts of deceptive practices in connection with Sept. 18 incidents in which he allegedly delivered checks for $95.57 and $31.92 to Randy’s Market, knowing his bank would not honor the drafts.

DUIs

Jakob C. Vogel, 19, Benld, has been charged with driving under the influence, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, one headlight when lighted lamps are required and possession and consumption of alcohol under the age of 21.

Kyle E. Hofer, 33, Staunton, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence in connection with a Nov. 17 incident in which he allegedly drove a gray 2018 Volkswagen on Staunton Road at Herman Road, Staunton.
