Lawsuits

Margaret A. Files filed a complaint Nov. 15 against John and Sherryl O’Donnell in connection with a Nov. 30, 2015, incident in which she allegedly slipped, tripped and fell while walking on a stairwell on the defendants’ property. She seeks an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

Charlene Grills, administrator of the estate of Rene Gross, deceased, filed a complaint Nov. 17 against Petersen Health Business, LLC, d.b.a. Robings Manor, Inc., in connection with the June 26, 2016, death of Gross, alleging negligent acts or omissions by the defendant’s employees caused injury to Gross, resulting in her death of sepsis related to her wounds. She seeks a sum in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

Judith Impson filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer against Kendra and Michael Mitchunson, seeking possession of property in Girard.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Nov. 15 against Martha and Kenny Stone and all unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Virden and $1,396 for rent ($660), attorney’s fees, costs and service.

Discover Bank filed a complaint Nov. 16 against Alma Knes, seeking $15,237.14 unpaid on a credit account, plus court costs.

Law Enterprises LLC filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Nov. 17 against Rachel Triplett and Anthony White, seeking possession of property in Mt. Olive and $1,800 rent, plus costs and damages.

Felonies

John P. Kelly, 26, Springfield has been charged with burglary and theft in connection with a Nov. 14 incident in which he allegedly entered a garage in the 300 block of South Seventh Street, Girard, with the intent to commit a theft and took a Hoyt compound vow valued at less than $500.

Mark D. Rodney, 49, Alton, has been charged with possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID and domestic battery in connection with a Nov. 13 incident in which he allegedly possessed an AR-15, a shotgun and a pistol while his FOID card was revoked and slapped an individual in the face with an open hand.

Katie A. Pierret, 34, Springfield, has been charged with unlawful possession of more than five grams but less than 15 grams of a substance containing meth.

Stephen M. Rexroad, 40, Petersburg has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Nov. 15 incident in which he allegedly drove a 2009 Jeep on North Broad, Carlinville.

Marion P. Scoggins, 67, Hettick, has been charged with disarming a peace officer, aggravated battery and obstructing service of process in connection with a Nov. 15 incident in which he allegedly took a taser from a peace officer, kneed another peace officer in the groin and obstructed an officer’s authorized service of process of an order of protection upon Scoggins by refusing to verify identification and ignoring officer commands to not walk away.

Christine M. Wolf, a.k.a. Christine M. Lindsey, now 43, Mt. Olive, has been charged with unlawful failure to register on the murderer and violent offender against children registry in connection with an Oct. 5 incident in which she allegedly knowingly failed to complete her annual registration with the Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department.

Samantha S. Sampson, 48, Palmyra, has been charged with unlawful possession of meth (less than five grams) in connection with an Aug. 7 incident.

Kevin L. Morgan, 34, Carlinville, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with a July 11 incident.

Robert M. McGown, 46, Rochester, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Nov. 10 incident in which he allegedly drove a 2009 Nissan Altima on Route 4 at Jackson Street, Virden. He was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Misdemeanors

David L. Hupp, 61, Staunton, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a Nov. 14 incident in which he allegedly raised his arm to strike an individual while on public property.

Jamie J. Lowrance, 40, Carlinville, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with an Aug. 22 incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $80 to Carlinville Park District, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Theresa A. Hansen, Alhambra, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with an Aug. 8 incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $296 to Harmon Auction Center, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Joseph V. Greear, 45, Benld, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Nov. 18 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the head with his hand.

Mauldine G. Allen, 51, St. Louis, Mo., has been charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a Nov. 18 incident in which she allegedly entered property in the 200 block of East Main Street, Staunton, owned by the city of Staunton, after being notified by Mayor Craig Neuhaus that entry onto the property was forbidden.
