Lawsuits

Bridget Yeager filed a complaint Nov. 8 against Casey’s General Stores, Inc., in connection with a June 3, 2016, incident in which she was allegedly injured when opening the left side of the double glass doors for entry, as a result of air suction that sucked the door into a closed position. She seeks an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of the suit.

Carlinville Area Hospital filed a complaint Nov. 8 against Richard W. and Brenda Pipkin, seeking $13,482.10 unpaid for medical services, plus costs of the suit.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Nov. 9 against Kenneth and Keishia Hannah and all unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Virden and $2,006 for rent ($1,270), attorney’s fees, costs and service.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Nov. 9 against Bryan and Lacey Wessing, seeking possession of property in Virden and $1,221 for rent ($550), attorney’s fees, costs and service.

State Farm Bank filed a complaint Nov. 9 against Helen Lowery, seeking $13,564.90 unpaid on a charge account, plus costs.

Teresa Klaus filed a complaint Nov. 13 against Central Subsurface Contracting of Illinois, Inc., seeking $15,000 to replace landscaping removed for installation of a drainage system in July 2015, plus costs.

Discover Bank filed a complaint Nov. 13 against Bruce E. Layher, seeking $24,645.22 unpaid on a credit account, plus court costs.

Gregory L. and Janet D. Warren filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Nov. 13 against Jake W. and Lori A. Jones and unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Brighton and $12,000 rent, plus unpaid rent that continues to accrue, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs of the suit.

Jeffrey S. Robinson filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Nov. 13 against Gregory Reed, seeking possession of property in Carlinville, plus attorney’s fees.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Nov. 14 against Bryan Gibson, Alexis Spann and all unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Virden and $2,685.50 for rent ($2,089.50), attorney’s fees, costs and service.

Felonies

Madilynn L. Mansfield, now 20, Carlinville, has been charged with possession of a stolen firearm in connection with an Oct. 31 incident in which she allegedly possessed an S&W .38 Special, knowing it to have been stolen.

Terry A. Rigney, 34, Virden, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with an Oct. 27 incident.

Freddie L. Johnson, 53, Virden, has been charged with meth possession (less than five grams) in connection with an Oct. 28 incident.

Dominique M. Kierbach, 19, Benld, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with an Oct. 29 incident.

Charles E. Crites, 61, of Gillespie has been charged with unlawful restraint in connection with a Nov. 5 incident in which he allegedly detained an individual in that he held the individual in a home against her will.

Joseph W. Kincaid, 28, Bunker Hill, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and retail theft in connection with a Nov. 8 incident in which he allegedly possessed less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin and took candy valued at less than $500 from ZX Gas Station in Bunker Hill.

Misdemeanors

Dakota G. Stone, 20, Carliville, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with an Oct. 28 incident in which he allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of 0.12.

Shonna L. Hyman, 51, Brighton, has been charged with battery in connection with a Nov. 9 incident in which she allegedly struck an individual in the head with her fist.

Vicki J. Shelter, 58, Staunton, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Nov. 12 incident in which she allegedly yelled profanities at an individual, pounded on the individual’s door and held the door shut, not allowing the individual to leave the residence.

Samantha J. Vail, 20, Wilsonville, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Nov. 6 incident in which she allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of 0.093.

DUI

Danny R. Long Jr., 37, Springfield, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of failure to obey a traffic control device in connection with a Nov. 4 incident in which he allegedly drove a gray 2014 Toyota Camry on Birch Street in Palmyra.
