Lawsuits

Alena Mrozowski filed a complaint Sept. 27 against Braxton E. Hummell and Pam S. Snoeyenbos in connection with an Oct. 1, 2016, automobile accident; she seeks an amount to satisfy the jurisdictional limitations of the court, plus costs.

Carlinville Senior Housing, LPI, a.k.a. Lott’s Landing Apartments, filed an eviction complaint Sept. 26 against Barbra Moran, seeking possession of property in Carlinville, attorney’s fees and costs.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Sept. 27 against Linda Trosley and all unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Virden, past due rent/late fees ($1,112), attorney’s fees, costs and service totaling $1,718.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Sept. 27 against Stacey Moughan, Justin Dixon and all unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Virden, past due rent/late fees ($1,089.50), attorney’s fees, costs and service totaling $1,845.50.

DiLynn Stewart filed a complaint for eviction Oct. 1 against Adam and Julie Ogden, seeking possession of property in Standard City and $925 rent.

Felonies

Erin M. Mull, 36, Staunton, has been charged with six counts of forgery in connection with incidents on July 20, July 23, Sept. 11 and Sept. 25 in which she allegedly made false checks payable to TJ’s in Benld, Shell in Gillespie, Jumpin’ Jimmy’s in Gillespie, Circle K in Staunton and Bill’s IGA in Staunton, with other individuals signed as drawer.

Jonathan P. Frithsen, now 36, Girard, has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse in connection with a March incident in which he allegedly knowingly committed an act of sexual conduct with a minor under age 13.

Henry L. Hammack, 37, Wilsonville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of a substance containing meth in connection with a Sept. 25 incident.

Randy L. Cairns Jr., 33, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Sept. 27 incident.

Justin M. Bertolis, 37, Gillespie, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a Sept. 28 incident in which he allegedly took printer cartridges and electronics valued at more than $300 from Carlinville Walmart.

Zachary A. Turner, 30, Virden, has been charged with burglary in connection with a Sept. 29 incident in which he allegedly entered an individual’s outbuilding with the intent to commit a theft.

Sidney T. Ward, 27, Carlinville, has been charged with retail theft in connection with a Sept. 28 incident in which she allegedly took headphones and alcohol valued at less than $300 from Carlinville Walmart.

Misdemeanors

Andrew J. Hopper, 27, Gillespie, has been charged with forgery in connection with a Sept. 17 incident in which he allegedly knowingly delivered to Backtrack, an employee screening company, a document (a Southern Illinois University Edwardsville diploma) apparently capable of defrauding another, purported to have been made by another and purchased online.

Joshua M. Sebastian, 26, Benld, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a Sept. 25 incident in which he allegedly swung a hammer and made threatening statements toward an individual.

Justin W. Calcott, 28, Hillsboro, has been charged with resisting a peace officer in connection with a Sept. 25 incident in which he allegedly fled from an officer after being given lawful commands to stop.

Jacob T. Shepherdson, 24, Virden, has bene charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault in connection with a Sept. 25 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with his hand and pointed a Smith and Wesson 9mm at the individual.

Colin J. Tieman, 20, Gillespie, has been charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a Sept. 25 incident in which he allegedly caused less than $500 damage to a window of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive by throwing a beer bottle at the window.

DUIs

Donna M. Wise, 49, Carlinville, has been charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage in connection with a Sept. 22 incident in which she allegedly drove a silver 2000 Toyota on North Broad at McDaniel Street, Carlinville.

Bryan K. Spangler, 49, Kent, N.Y., has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of disobeying a stop sign in connection with a Sept. 15 incident in which he allegedly drove a blue 2003 GMC truck on Virginia  Street at Margaret Street, Brighton.
