Lawsuits

NMTC Inc., d.b.a. Matco Tools, filed a complaint Jan. 11 against Dennis D. Rull, seeking possession of tools and equipment purchased via installment promissory note or damages of $63,000 for the value of the property, plus $350 for wrongful detention and all court costs; alternatively, they seek the $56,486.35 current balance due on the note, plus accrued interest, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.

One Main Financial Group as Wells Fargo Bank NA filed a complaint Jan. 11 against Linda Evans, seeking $10,000.50 unpaid on a loan.

One Main Financial Group filed a complaint Jan. 17 against David W. Blevins, seeking $10,765.11 unpaid on a loan.

Central Illinois Realty Company filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 17 against Cassandra Lofland and all unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Virden, $945 rent, $106 court costs, $$550 attorney fees and $50 process server.

DMW Rentals LLC filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 17 against Michael Thomas, seeking possession of property in Gillespie and $2,685 rent, plus rent accruing to date of judgment, late charges, attorney’s fees and costs of suit.

Felonies

David W. Bowers, 20, Brighton, has been charged with unlawful failure to register as a sex offender in connection with a Jan. 6 incident in which he allegedly failed to register with Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department after residing in their jurisdiction for more than three days.

Jennifer L. Pickett, 34, Gillespie, has been charged with forgery in connection with a Sept. 23 incident in which she allegedly knowingly made a document capable of defrauding another, a check drawn on First National Bank, in that she changed the value of the payment from $100 to $400.

Roy E. Davis Jr., 30, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Dec. 4 incident.

Misdemeanors

Chastity P. Jensen, 37, Mt. Olive, has been charged with three counts of deceptive practices in connection with incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks to Niccol Development for $125 on July 15, $125  on July 29 and $135 on Aug. 20, knowing her bank would not honor the drafts.

Lynne M. Flores, 61, Gillespie, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with an Oct. 16 incident in which she allegedly delivered a check for $101.69 to Bill’s IGA, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Kevin J. Black, 30, Sawyerville, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with an Oct. 20 incident in which he allegedly delivered a check for $33 to Roma’s Pizza, knowing his bank would not honor the draft.

Raymond M. Cline, 45, Staunton, has been charged with deceptive practices in connection with an Oct. 17 incident in which he allegedly delivered a check for $131.86 to Bill’s IGA, knowing his bank would not honor the draft.

Lisa M. Giddens, now 43, Brighton, has been charged with two counts of deceptive practices in connection with incidents on Oct. 6 in which she allegedly delivered two checks for $50 each to Duke’s Cabaret, knowing her bank would not honor the draft.

Jason J. Flieger, 23, Bunker Hill, has been charged with three counts of deceptive practices in connection with incidents in which he allegedly delivered checks to Bunker Hill Short Stop for $25 on Oct. 21, $9.59 on Oct. 22 and $17.44 on Oct. 28, knowing his bank would not honor the drafts.

Kiersten P. Tubbs, now 24, Jerseyville, has been charged with four counts of deceptive practices in connection with incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks to Darr’s Pit Stop for $47.91 on Oct. 12, $37.24 on Oct. 12, $41.67 on Oct. 16 and $60.90 on Oct. 18. She was also charged with five counts of deceptive practices in connection with incidents in which she allegedly delivered checks to Buck’s Crossing for $55.41 on Oct. 12, $58.40 on Oct. 12, $85.28 on Oct. 12, $43.33 on Oct. 17 and $42.84 on Oct. 18.

Milburn J. Lindsey Jr., 35, Carlinville, has been charged with theft in connection with a Nov. 1 incident in which he allegedly took an individual’s car trailer valued at less than $500.

Brandon P. Bellm, now 24, Hettick, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Dec. 4 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual and threw the individual to the ground.

Donald E. Gray Jr., 46, Staunton, has been charged with unlawful possession of more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of cannabis in connection with a Dec. 17 incident.

Douglas R. Heyen, 37, Litchfield, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Jan. 9 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual by the shoulder and pushed the individual.

Thomas L. Pitman Jr., 40, Carlinville, has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Jan. 9 incident in which he allegedly grabbed an individual by the stomach, where a medical device was located.

David K. Daniel, 42, Carlinville, has been charged with battery in connection with a Jan. 10 incident in which he allegedly struck an individual in the face with his fist.

Dallas M. Karrick, now 57, Carlinville, has been charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Nov. 11 incident in which he allegedly yelled at and threw household items within an individual’s residence.

Sarah C. Goodman, now 36, Springfield, has been charged with obstructing identification in connection with a Jan. 1 incident in which she allegedly furnished a false name to a peace officer who had lawfully detained her. She was also charged with illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger.

Shane D. Cole, 19, Nokomis, has been charged with criminal trespass to a residence in connection with a Jan. 11 incident in which he allegedly entered a residence in the 600 block of West Second South Street, Carlinville.

Charlette M. Crook, 19, Bunker Hill, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Dec. 3 incident.

DUIs

Daren L. Wright, 34, Cottage Hills, has been charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed and disobeying a stop sign in connection with a Jan. 8 incident in which he allegedly drove a silver 1999 Chevrolet truck on Shipman Cutoff Road at Brighton Bunker Hill Road, west of Woodburn.

Shane A. Fay, 38, Joliet, has been charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed, improper lane usage and driving too fast for conditions in connection with a Jan. 10 incident in which he allegedly drove a gray 2016 Jeep in the 400 block of South Main Street, Palmyra.

Vassilis Kitsos, now 33, Livingston, has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs and improper lane usage in connection with a Jan. 9 incident in which he allegedly drove a silver 2014 Chevrolet on Route 16 at Sherwood Road, northeast of Gillespie.
