Lawsuits

Raymond Litzau filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 4 against Meagan Southerd, seeking possession of property in Girard and $810 rent.

David and Rhonda Vercellino filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 4 against Davey Middleton and Amanda Durston, seeking possession of property in Gillespie and $970 rent.

Donald R. Stoddard filed a complaint for replevin Jan. 5 against Whitney R. Hughes and Allied Financial in connection with the ownership of a 2014 Jeep Compass Latitude. He seeks an order for the vehicle to be sold, for Allied Financial’s lien to be paid in full, and for the remaining funds to be paid to him.

Michael Shaw filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 5 against Jeff Boaz and Lora Hill, seeking possession of property in Mt. Olive, all rent and arrears to the time the defendants are removed from the property, attorney’s fees and costs of suit.

Shirley Thomas filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 5 against Christopher Nix, seeking possession of property in Carlinville, rent, and costs of suit.

James Cordray filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 6 against James A. Stone Sr., Mavis J. Stone and any other unknown occupants, seeking possession of property in Girard, to keep all monies previously paid in a contract for deed agreement, termination of any further obligations pursuant to the contract for deed, attorney’s fees, costs of service and court costs.

Kathryn M. Young filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 6 against Johnelle Acup-Crawford, seeking possession of property in Gillespie and $1,310 rent.

Jennifer Rahn filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer Jan. 6 against Darryl and Victoria Pocklington, seeking possession of property in Girard and $800 rent.

Felonies

Mary K. Pesavento, 42, Staunton, has been charged with unlawful possession of less than five grams of meth in connection with a Dec. 29 incident. She was also charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of having no valid driver’s license, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to signal.

David P. Register, 46, Virden, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance in connection with a Nov. 30 incident in which he allegedly possessed a substance containing dihydrocodeinone.

Charlene M. Giles, 42, Sorento, has been charged with escape in connection with a Jan. 1 incident in which she allegedly intentionally failed to report for periodic imprisonment.

David A. Lucykow, 32, Gillespie, has been charged with theft and possession of the credit card of another in connection with Sept. 18-19 incidents in which he allegedly received an individual’s debit card, knowing it to have been taken from the owner’s control without consent, and executed unauthorized control over $800 withdrawn from the individual’s bank account using the debit card.

Justin T. Callarman, 28, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin) in connection with a Nov. 16 incident.

Austin M. Weatherford, 19, Carlinville, has been charged with theft in connection with a Dec. 1 incident in which he allegedly exerted unauthorized control over an individual’s iPhone 4S, valued at less than $500.

Dan K. Whitley Jr., 59, Carlinville, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Dec. 2 incident in which he allegedly drove a 1997 Ford truck on Alton Road.

Barbara L. Pingleton, 48, Carlinville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a substance containing AB-FUBINACA) in connection with an Oct. 25 incident.

Samantha E. Leidner, 18, Donnellson, has been charged with possession of the credit card of another and theft in connection with an Aug. 22 incident in which she allegedly received an individual’s debit card, knowing it to have been taken from the owner’s control without consent, and exerted unauthorized control over $102 withdrawn from the individual’s bank account using the debit card.

Kenneth C. Jones, 34, Virden, has been charged with escape in connection with a Jan. 6 incident in which he allegedly knowingly failed to return from his furlough.

Mark A. Miller Jr., 36, Decatur, has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a Dec. 17 in which he allegedly drove a 2011 Ford SUV southbound on Interstate 55 near milepost 45.

Misdemeanors

Shannon T. Landre, 38, Mt. Olive, has been charged with violation of an order of protection in connection with a Dec. 22 incident in which she allegedly entered a protected place.

Branson A. Stevenson, 18, Mt. Olive, has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Dec. 21 incident.

Alex M. Baldwin, 19, Brighton, has been charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Dec. 24 incident. He was also charged with improper lane usage.

Averion D. Hill, now 19, Royal Lakes, has been charged with illegal consumption and possession of alcohol by a minor in connection with a Dec. 24 incident.

DUIs

Eric I. Lewis, 40, O’Fallon, Mo., has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a Dec. 31 incident in which he allegedly drove a white 2007 Toyota on Interstate 55 northbound at milepost 41

Douglas E. Dodson, 56, Godfrey, has been charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, driving on a revoked license and having no valid registration in connection with a Jan. 5 incident in which he allegedly drove a white 2008 Chevrolet on North Macoupin at Maple Street, Gillespie.
