Contestants sought for 2013 Miss and Junior Miss
It’s that time of the year to begin the search for the next Miss Macoupin County Fair to follow 2012 Miss Macoupin County Fair Chloe Walton and Junior Miss Sarah Watson.
To be eligible, all Miss and Junior Miss contestants must reside in or attend school in Macoupin County.
Miss contestants must be at least 16-21 years old, but not 22 years old by January 2014. Junior Miss contestants may be 12-14 years old, but no older than 15 years old on the night of the pageant.
The 2013 pageant will take place on Tuesday, June 25. Contestants will compete in personal interview, swimwear and evening gown competitions.
Junior Miss contestants will compete in personal interview, sportswear and party dress competitions.
The 2013 Queens and runners-up will receive generous cash gifts along with a number of prizes from local businesses around the county.

Little Miss and Mister Pageant
The Macoupin County Fair is looking for 4- and 5-year-old boys and girls in Macoupin County for the 2013 Little Miss and Mister Pageant. This year’s pageant will take place on Monday, June 24th.
Children may not be younger than 4 or older than 5 by the pageant date in order to be eligible. Prior to the pageant children or a parent or legal guardian will be required to attend practices to prepare the children for the stage.
The pageant is limited to 30 total contestants, with 15 spaces available for the girls and 15 spaces for the boys. Those spots are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your child has been a previous contestant he or she may enter again; however they will be placed on a waiting list as first time contestants will have the opportunity to fill the first 15 spots.
Please send a letter with child’s name, birth date, gender, parents/guardians name, address and phone number where a parent/guardian can be reached. The first 15 girls and 15 boys will receive a letter or phone call confirming their entry into the pageant. The deadline for applications is May 3, 2013.
