CMS cross country teams fare terrific
Carlinville Middle School ran tough at the Rochester Invitational cross country meet Saturday morning.
Carlinville finished eighth out of 20 on the boys side, collecting 198 points overall. Evans Junior High won with 54 points, followed by Springfield Franklin at 98; Liberty at 120; Turner at 127; and Rochester at 169.
Kyle Boughter of Franklin won teh meet with a time of 11:01.
Carlinville was led by Briley Roper at 12:07, finishing 14th overall. Levi Yudynski was 29th at 12:33; and Ethan Siglock was 38th ath 12:41.
Other Carlinville results included: Cale Williams 13:30; Cameron Strubbe 13:32; David Harris 14:29; Collin Krepie 14:32; Dane Rosentreter 15:15; Caden Barkley 15:56; Aaron Wills 16:21; Case Jones 16:33; Trieton Park 17:35; Matthew Reynolds 17:47; Brock Henson 17:57; Carter Lowrance 18:53; Ashton Brookens 20:57.
The girls Carlinville team was 11th out of 18 teams, finishing with 261 points.
Williamsville won the meet with 80 points, followed by Christ the King at 89; Shelbyville 128; Turner 159 and Evans 168.
Lexy Herikson of Williamsville was the overall winner in 12:31.
Jillian Stayton led Carlinville, finishing 18th overall in a time of 13:45. Emily May finished 48th at 14:37; Patty Walch 15:18; Caroline Gibbel 15:35; Sophia Ruffato 15:38; Karrick Rhachyl 16:35; Annabelle Hulin 16:38; Haley Hancock 18:07; Katie Schmidt 19:14; Lexi Dawson 19:25; Kara Rosentreter 19:35; Samantha Eulberg 19:38.
